Hi guys!
Yesterday I was given a nice present from my friend Pavel in Prague.
We had a nice session and he gave me the first version of the new Coloring Book, which he and his team have developed for 2 years now.
BIG size, not text so it works in every culture, nice idea built in that children will laugh about for sure, top quality, hand drawn by an artist, made in Europe.
I LOVE it. It soon will be launched worldwide ... but I could not hold back the good news ; )
Size: ca 51cm/38cm !
Have a nice day!

Nice to see a fresh take on the old coloring book , with new artwork, not just the same old artwork that D.Robbins (or whoever it is) has used for 40 years. (every time kids see a magician somehow all these different magicians have a copy of the EXACT SAME COLORING BOOK ! Hmmmmm ... how's that ? If I was doing kid shows and used the coloring book I would want to custom-make my own.)

It looks really BIG . I don't know , but maybe too big ? I realize over-sized props can be an advantage if you're working a show in a huge auditorium or stadium, but I think most magicians who are doing the typical kids' birthday type of show in a living room or a kid's show at a library might find this over-size prop looks a little out of place. Children's coloring books are not usually that large, but more like 11" x 8.5" or thereabouts. For me , I would want it to resemble an ordinary coloring book that the kids have actually handled themselves.

For my 2 cents worth, I would have to agree with David Todd on the size of the book. I like the art work and the colors, but would like something the children are used to in size.

I think the larger size fills a niche.

See this thread for one discussion about Jumbo Coloring Books, from another area of the Magic Café (The "KIDabra - The Association of Family and Kidshow Performers" area).

For many years, Danny Orleans produced a "Colossal Coloring Book of Magic" (performed on his DVD set), but that prop is now out of stock on the Amaze Kids website (https://www.vanishingincmagic.com/amazekids/), which is run by Andi Gladwin, Joshua Jay, and Danny Orleans. Maybe Danny stopped making them? It was an oversize coloring book, 15" x 20" (same size as this new book mentioned above).

Also, I have seen some regular, oversize coloring books in stores before. So, they do exist. Just yesterday I saw some oversize / jumbo activity books (coloring, activities, and stickers), at our local Costco store.

BTW, not too long ago, I posted a list of magic coloring books that I was aware of, here and here. There's lots of selection aside from the Royal Magic version.

That's good to know there are other versions available. I don't use it (although I have done the Stamp Album version) so I'm not keeping track of what's available, but I would say that over the last 20 years or so it seems like every time I've seen a magician perform it , it's this same coloring book (give it a rest , guys !)

Yes. Many Magicians use this one. However, it is what you do with it that makes this work. I like the colouring book and the right presentation for the right audience can be very entertaining!
