I would like to see other options than Catch Me & Win's base and pegs. But I can not find any online. Any recommendations?

From reading your post I took it that you didn't want the base & pegs,
If you want to get Catch Me & Win, check this link below. https://www.mymagic.com/product/catch-me-win-gene-maze

I've been doing the endless chain for a fair while, the only place I have seen the use of a base and pegs is the Gene Maze version available at Meir Yedid Magic. I have it and like it as a display item but I have not had chance to use it yet. I very much like The School For Scoundrels DVD is by far the best work on fast and loose / endless chain that I am aware of and thoroughly recommend it. Well worth the money for the DVD/Download as well as the PDF notes.
I'm not yet sold on Catch Me and Win- whilst it is an interesting presentation I kind of prefer the chain on the table, but it does look super clean on the wooden plinth and with the metal rods. I kind of like the idea of me manipulating the chain on the table. What I don't think is possible with the Catch Me and Win version to be able to use the false proofs "teaching" the spectator how to play (opening and closing the loops etc) the game like4 in the SFS version. |

Is the two loop routine possible with catch me and win (being able to prove the other one will snag)?

3, 2 or 1 loop - every time it is "catch all" or "loose all" ...
so the mark can never win, because when he chooses for you, all will catch. |

Late with this one but for future reference, I re-watched "Chain Gang" by Marc Desouza and the "pedal" display taught near the end (3 loops on table) is very similar to "CMAW" without the pegs and board. Personally, I like the board and pegs because I think it does give the impression that there were other choices that "could have" worked.

I believe the method of laying down three loops predates Catch Me and Win. It can be found on page 95 of The Art of Close-up Magic (1967) by Lewis Ganson, page 316 of The Amateur Magician's Handbook third edition (1972) by Henry Hay, and Page 17 of Loopy Loop (My copy has no date.) by George Blake.
Blake refers to this layout as "The Flower" and speaks of forming "three petals" so although I do not have the DVD I suspect that Marc DeSouza was calling it the "Petal," like the petals on a flower. Andru
