CAAN has finally been solved with Craig Petty's Quantum Deck! The setup is simple, just a single playing card lost within a blank deck. A number is named, then a playing card appears at that exact position. And another position, and another... the card is in multiple locations at the same time!

Features:
  • Any number can be freely named
  • Instant reset
  • Your spectator can examine the deck!

This looks really good. After watching the trailer (which includes a full performance), I figured out *a* way that this can be done and meet all the qualifications, though I have no idea if it's *the* way that it is done, but either way I'm going to be picking this up. The fact that there's apparently 4 to 5 hours of instruction means there's a lot to learn here.

(Also, after watching the video on Murphy's I looked on Vanishing Inc. and their product description seems to bend over backwards to be honest and detailed about this (even beyond the Murphy's description, and suggests the "any number" part is not entirely accurate, since you can't do numbers too low or too high) -- good job, Vanishing Inc. guys -- and makes me think that my guess as to how this is done may be correct, but even if I am correct, I'm sure Craig provides a ton of detailed nuance in the instructions. And, if somehow I'm incorrect and my method is different... I wonder if I could combine the idea that I have with Craig's. Either way, this looks great, Craig. Looking forward to checking this out.

This is what confused me in that he stated the card was roughly ‘in the middle’, however, on the last demo the card was at position 40 something. Bit confused to be honest.

Hey Pegasus. You are right. Murphys included in the ad copy that the number range is slightly limited. If they name any number from 10 to 35 there is nothing to do. You pick up and deal. Outside that range there’s a small thing to do. I go through three methods as well as how to limit the spectators choice verbally.

You also see live performers of me doing all four methods in the real world if someone has named out of range.

From experience most people go within range though.

Actually all dealers have ad copy that days about the range being slightly limited although I loved Vanishing Inc’s copy.

Thanks for clearing that up Craig. Looking forward to getting this. Hopefully this’ll be in the U.K. by release date.

I really like this. One thing I’d like to know, is this something I can recreate for myself after my deck has worn out? Or say, ten years down the road when it is out of production? I am. Ot a fan of buying decks that can be ruined too easily and not be replaced for a reasonable amount of money.

No problem! Prop Dog and Alakazam already have them in stock and ready to ship so you get it for the 14th.

It should last a long time and we have priced it affordable as when people see it I think they will need more than one. But on the tutorial I go through how it’s made and technically you could make a spare yourself but it would take a lot of trial and error.

I have heard from reliable sources that this is brilliant.
I would trust Craig anyhow but I heard about it on the grapevine first from like I say very trusted people

Is this a limited release? Vanishing says in the email that only 200 available. Is that 200 from all stores or 200 from Vanishing?

There are no moves like that with a quantum deck. The cards start off outside of the box and they can name the number at which point you pick up the deck and deal
