To be fair, Ed Marlo and John Cornelius do have tricks which are similar. Different method, but look the same in many ways.
Worth checking them out as an alternative whilst waiting for Quantum to arrive. |

Everyone that is talking about Craig’s affects please remember that the effect shown on the trailer is only one of 10 routines included in the project.
I look at the quantum deck as a utility device that is capable of many different routines. As far as I’m aware the people that are saying that there are effects that are similar and therefore this shouldn’t be released haven’t even seen these are the routines on the project So are we saying here that are utility device that allows you to do so much with very little slight of hand shouldn’t be released because one of the tricks looks similar to another routine that’s been published before that uses sleight of hand? So once am effect is marketed we cannot ever improve on that affects again Also at no point has anybody shown me a link to a trick that has been marketed or published with the same method and the same routine that is capable of everything that quantum is capable of. I know there are people out there that don’t particularly like me and I’m not their cup of tea. And that’s fine. So I’m going to give you a chance to get rid of me forever. If someone can point me to a product that is exactly the same as the quantum deck with the same method using the same props and is capable of doing all the routines that are on the project then I will leave the Magic community forever, go back to just running my businesses and shut down magic TV effective immediately. So here you have it. If I’ve annoyed you, if you hate me, if you don’t think I should be in the Magic community here’s your chance to get rid of me. Basically what I’m saying is put up or shut up |

To my point I made earlier about the effect out of sight by Joshua Jay my main point was to show how you can in fact hand out a deck of cards which I do with out of sight and no one to this day has figured out about the way the effect works. Now I'm sure there's a lot of difference between the method behind the gimmick deck but I have used my out of sight deck in a very similar way to Quantum deck. So my point is I'm sure especially if Craig is saying it can be done that you will be able to hand this deck out and feel confident it will not be exposed 2 lay people. The way I use my out of sight deck is I simply tell them I have my favorite card in this deck in a certain position I have them name the position and then I turn over the card while naming my special card. I then show them the way I could prove this is that card is the only card amongst all of the other cards that are blank. Although it gets very good reactions it of course cannot be repeated like this particular Quantum deck can repeat. I think the quantum deck is a wonderful effect.

LoL I've just gone thru this entire posting, and I keep hearing from a couple of people about business card similar and this effect is similar... Yet, not a single link to the actual effect so we can make our own judgement rather that take "your opinion". PLease can one of you put a direct link rather that play games and mention tricks and magician from the past and tell us to go look! Why the secret? Just do a simple link to your findings, is it really that hard?
But if that's not forthcoming, please go away to another forum and annoy someone else. Best policy to the genuine people here interested in magic, lets just ignore and be non-responsive to this idiot (oh btw, that's just "my opinion!"). |

Well I guess shows like P&T Fool-US, America's Got Talent, Jimmy Fallon and countless other shows featuring magicians are shown in a negative light? I seem to recall very popular movies like The Illunionist,Now You See Me, The Prestige and should I mention Harry Potter? The list goes on and on.
Awful people, desperate for attention???? Maybe??

Craig, I get you feel the need to defend as no one wants to be smeared. I think you said it so well several times and its documented. You no longer need to worry about the point one percenters that everyone can see are laying baseless claims. So much so it would be comical if it wasn't so sad. And there are a lot of stressed out, know it all, fed up, negative people in the world (especially now) that are looking to lash out and pick a fight they can get behind. This is not something you need to absorb. You have a successful product, enjoy knowing that and let the Café implode as it is so capable of doing all on its own.

This will be an incredible release imo as this is just one effect of what is possible.
Anyone who has watched the over 4 hours of Visible will realise how Craig teaches you so many different ways to create absolute miracles. He leaves no stone unturned on his project's answering every possible nuance so any level of magician can get the maximum out of them Gaz.😊 |

My point is, that the trope of the insufferable magician exists, and we should ask why is that? I'm saying this because I LOVE magic and I find it very sad. Can you think of anything less magical than the nest of vipers that is themagiccafe? I wont say more on this, I already feel bad for derailing the thread, I'll let people get back to unjustifiably attacking Mr Petty. As for Craigs effect, looks great, I wont buy it as it's not my sort of thing, but I'm really impressed with it. |

There is something about the outdated green background and rabbit-pulled-out-of-hat silhouettes that seems to bring out the absolute worst in some people. I didn't come on here for years and, as someone who suffers with depression and anxiety, sometimes regret doing so. God knows how Craig feels. It must make you feel like giving up. Yes, the Café is often useful but why is the vibe so often negative? Take this release: none of us have a copy in our hands yet and already there's a backlash. There's a one-upmanship of knowledge - kick another magician and their product based on how much you know of previous tricks and history so you are best. Playground stuff. And I say this as someone who's guilty of the same offense.
Maybe the moderators could work on making this place a little more civilised? The active user base seems to be shrinking and it's not hard to see why .. |

I do want to clarify one point. My whole objective for talking about out of sight by Joshua Jay was to show people who don't believe you can hand these cards out it is very very possible to hand these cards out. In some cases magicians will not find anything wrong with them. That was my whole point in my opinion Quantum Leap does many other things from anything out there on the market today. I fully support Craigs product here and without even fully knowing for sure how it works I would highly recommend it just from what I've seen.

Bernie I absolutely agree with you. I think there's a possibility that some people are getting observations mixed up with criticism. I've read through these posts as well and I see mostly people really enjoying this new release and have high expectations for it.
