Hi all,
I wanted to let you know that yesterday, my father began posting, for free, on his newly created blog on his website a thirty-four article series entitled "The Slydini Legacy." From 1997 to 2005, he was the co-founder of The International Conservatory of Magic (ICOM). One of his contributions to the site was "Slydini - The Legacy"; a series of thirty-four monthly articles from September, 1997 to December 2000. Please follow along at https://www.billwisch.com/slydinilegacy My father and I will be posting updates and will let you know when new articles are posted. Currently, there are two: "Slydini - The Legacy" An Introduction and "Impossible Coin Vanish". Both were originally published in 1997. Hope you enjoy!
Best, Kevin ![]() |

Thank You again, Kevin and Bill! That subtlety is what makes that force so much better in the way the Cross Cut Force is also so effective. 👍

Happy St. Patrick's Day! "Slydini -The Legacy" has just been updated with its fourth installment entitled, "Slydini's Handy-Work". Excerpt below. For the full post, visit "Slydini - The Legacy" at https://www.billwisch.com/slydinilegacy
"Slydini had many things about him that people found fascinating. Much of his charisma was from the way he did things when he performed. Ordinary actions like casually moving an object from place to place or just looking at the audience, even though appearing innocent, were carried out in a specific, well-organized and pre-planned fashion. How Slydini used his hands to achieve this effect is what I will touch on briefly in this installment of The Legacy." ![]() |

Hi all,
"Slydini- The Legacy" has now been updated. This week, my father discusses the Slydini Books (The Best of Slydini... And More and The Magical World of Slydini), their background and his thoughts on what it was like to introduce them to the magic community in 1976 and 1978. https://www.billwisch.com/slydinilegacy ![]() |

My father spent many hours with his friend Karl Fulves during the 1970s while "The Best of Slydini... And More" was being written. Learn about one of Karl's thoughts on Slydini's Linking Rings in this update to "Slydini - The Legacy".

Hi all,
Today's entry into the Slydini Legacy features Slydini's "S.O.C. it to 'em!" a wonderfully creative Slydini "nugget". In addition, a previously unreleased photo of Slydini from the Tom Prete collection (generously given to my Dad by our friend Neal Prete) as well as some commentary/thoughts on some recent happenings on one of the magic forums regarding awards and a post that was unfortunately censored. I hope you enjoy it, and I hope you are staying safe! - Kevin https://www.billwisch.com/post/slydini-s......ll-wisch ![]() |

Today, my dad presents his "Five Coin Variation" of Tony Slydini's Coins Through the Table in this edition of Slydini - The Legacy. I hope you enjoy it. Slydini loved this variation very much. My Dad was humbled and honored that he did.

Hi everyone,
Today my Dad presents "The Slydini Tapes: A Full Account" in The Slydini Legacy. Visit the Slydini Legacy Blog at https://www.billwisch.com/slydinilegacy to view or watch the video below on Youtube. Happy 122nd Birthday Tony Slydini! - Kevin From my Dad: Hi everyone, Bill Wisch here. Today, September 1, 2022 would have been Slydini’s 122nd birthday. Slydini was none other than simply the greatest close-up magician of the 20th century. I miss him dearly. This seems like the perfect day, in honor of Tony, to share with you my index of my audio recordings “The Slydini Tapes”. Approximately 38 hours of my personal lessons with Tony are meticulously archived and time stamped in the index that follows. It was during the Covid-19 lockdown that I had the time to catalogue and index them. I felt as if I was a new student again; reliving the memory of learning from Slydini for the first time. The index that follows includes timestamps with relevant overviews of what was covered; the parts highlighted in red are parts that I thought were extra insightful as I reviewed the footage. These lessons cover the span of 3 years; 1973 through 1975. They catalogue my development as a student and in many instances document how Slydini taught me his routines from the very beginning. It is a treasure trove of priceless insight and history about almost every conceivable topic on Slydini's magic. It was directly after these lessons that Tony asked me to take his place on tour in 1976 and 1978 to introduce his books “The Best of Slydini and More” and “The Magical World of Slydini” both by Karl Fulves. Over the years, I have reached out to several people looking for an opportunity to share them in some capacity with the magic community. Unfortunately, as of now, that opportunity has yet to come. At present, 7 minutes and 41 seconds of footage have been released to the magic community on my Youtube Channel. I have no idea what I will do with the remainder of the footage, if anything at all. I sincerely hope that a proper opportunity arises that will one day give me the chance to share at least a part of this incredible archive with you. In the meantime, please know that these tapes are safeguarded and serve as a priceless resource and blessing to me of exclusive knowledge and insight into the titan of magic that was Tony Slydini. Long live Slydini’s magic, and happy birthday to my friend, mentor, and teacher- Slydini. -Bill |

In this entry of Slydini - The Legacy, my father discusses the critical importance of a well-known yet most likely overlooked method in Slydini's Coins Through The Table. Enjoy!

In this newly written entry into Slydini - The Legacy, my dad offers a rebuttal to Darwin Ortiz's writings on Tony Slydini in his popular book "Strong Magic". Namely Ortiz's feelings on and the role of "challenge" in Slydini's magic and in magic in general. I hope you enjoy it.
