I have always hated sleeving, it's always seemed like a magician cliche that I didn't want to be associated with. If there was any hint to the laymen that I'm using my sleeves then I would have failed. Luckily, Manuel Muerte has shown me that sleeving can accomplish much stronger effects than I once thought. So I have decided to start practicing some tricks with it.

One trick that I am currently doing I have a paintbrush sleeved at several moments. But last night while practicing it I noticed that it kept falling out at certain times, even when I was pressing it against my body with my arm. Does anyone have any tips on sleeving that might make it be executed more disirably?

I didn't know Manuel Muerte did sleeving-- has he published any of his sleeving routines?

You would do well to learn Sol Stones "soft sleeve" techniques...some of the finest sleeving I have "never" seen.

The ambiguities in that request make a helpful response difficult. If post your specific situations and objectives in secret sessions... some experts may be able to offer suggestions.

Well, David, as I have seen your routine, I would suggest you keep your elbow bent at an angle, perhaps trapping the paintbrush so it doesn't fall out too early. I know this production occurs near the beginning of the routine, so it shouldn't be too uncomfortable to keep your elbow bent.

Either that or place the brush in your coat pocket and place it in position at the last possible moment.

I'm actually working on alternate technuiqes right now to reduce the sleeving and making moving awquard.

Rocco had out a video on sleveing that was very good. He did an act totaly sleveing and reloading and going again. It was realy good.
