Any techies out there can help us?.
A couple of us are just starting with MSN Messenger. We have managed to send messages to each other and the one with a webcam can be seen by the others. But..we cannot get audio to work, despite our mics and speakers appearing to be OK Any suggestions? Howard |

Get another firewall. It all depends on which wall you are using.

ZoneAlarm had some nasty effects on my 'p00ter and it took me a week to figure out that it was ZoneAlarm I don't know why all the magazines seem to rave about it.

When I am having a conversation with my friend , I can hear my voice carry on for about 5 seconds whilt I am speaking , it is very disconcerting, any ideas to stop this? my friend doesn't experience this when he speaks to me ( I have a headset/mic he has a seperate mic and uses his PC speakers)

For the benefit of others reading this, what you were experiencing was a delayed form of feedback, usually described as "echo"
It was due to your friend's mic being on at the same time your voice was coming through the speakers. The mic picked up your voice and sent it back to you. As you now know, headsets cure this problem as they eliminate the audio path between mic and earpiece. (Unless of course, your head is unusually hollow, a common ailment among some magicians )
