Back about 1962 I was challenged to figure out a way to have two of the Rings of my set Linked by a spectator
in the their hands. That is, two rings known to all to be separate and handed to a spectator to link and pass around. We all know of Whit Hayden's Comedy Ring Routine where he does this. Does anyone else have a method? I developed three ways that were successful but limited in application. Then, in the late 90's I hit upon a new approach. I described this to Pete Biro, but it was too late for inclusion in his book. Now I have added some ideas from "WebRing Subtlety" to make it even better. I am going to release this soon as "DoubleOut" as a Performance Module and as one of four Effects in "4X4 Rings" of the F.U.N. Ring Series. Hopefully these will inspire others to publish unique moves they have created for Linking Rings. With this approach you can even display the four singles in a fan and have a spectator select the two he likes. He holds these as you demonstrate how to Link the other two with the help of another spectator. Then he links his two with you no where near. At least, that is the story they will tell.

A few years ago I (think) I saw a video of performer get some rings linked by involving a spectator. I posted a link to it on the Café, but I don't currently have that ref (my computer with all my magic links died, and I haven't resurrected it yet
Maybe I could do a search on the Café when I get some time - I got to do my taxes first!!! John

Just for clarification, there are several Methods of having two rings believed to be separate get into the hands of a spectator,
and later 'discovered' to be linked. These are powerful and useful in some Routines. Here the two rings are in the hands and verified to be separate to a"knowing" level rather than just 'believing." They are are then visibly linked by the Volunteer and passed around. This is not for beginners as it requires experience with LIVE audience engagement, volunteer selection and mastered sleights. a blending of Psychological Ploys and Volunteer management techniques are employed - nothing difficult with confidence and presence more important than acting ability. this is never as stand-alone affect, but one phase of a full Routine. The "FourChoice" Module is added to introduce the reader to the advantages of "Reverse Rings Mystique" that will be part a several pending ebooks of full Routines. In answer to several questions, I am only releasing these sleights, methods and routines since I can no longer perform in public due to disabilities. But, these same hand disabilities makes writing and photo taking difficult, so patience is requested.

Good stuff this. I must say that your offerings through Lybrary.com is a treasure trove.
It mentions the "4X4 Rings" eBook. I don't see it on the Lybrary site. Is it still available?

It includes all of the sleight sequences, moves and logic of all, but the individual ones may have additional verbal scripts and
and alternative Shift and Branch suggestions. So, yes - 90%
