Hello everyone!
I've been reading and posting on the magic Café for a couple of months now so I guess it's time to introduce myself properly. I've been involved with magic for more years that I can remember even though I'm still in my youth at only 26. A few years ago I used to be very active in the magic community on the internet but then I gave it a rest for a while. I was always posting on alt.magic, I was subscribed to Bruce Barnett's EG and I used to run (along with another guy called Terry Prisendorf) a web site linking page called "Your World Of Magic", a web-zine called "Your World Today" and a history site called "Your History Of Magic". However, that's all in the past and those sites are long since gone and forgotten. Although if you were a regular visitor it would be great to hear from you, PM me! I am not a professional in the magic world, but a very keen enthusiastic and experienced amateur. In the real world I am a stage manager at a theatre in Eastbourne in the UK, just down the road from where I live. I am currently working with Vizage http://www.vizagemagic.com who are one of the acts in our summer season show. I am pleased to have found this forum, where a moderated message board leads to interesting and informative debate and discussion. Leaving behind all the extra baggage and petty flame wars that go with a Usenet newsgroup these days. I am looking forward to being part of the on-line magic community again. I will not be as active as I used to be, running all the different sites took up far too much time. Something I had the luxury of when I was a student, but not anymore. So hello again to old friends who will remember my name from those days and hello to the new people who I have yet to be acquainted with. Regards, James Luff
