I heard this was at Blackpool, I was not there but love Gerard's creations. I just received this. 2 number prediction on scratch cards, highly recommended!
Demo video is on this page. https://www.secrettannery.com/product-page/scratch "Scratch, my most powerful routine that I have been perfecting for over 15 years. Two thought of numbers are predicted on a scratch card from within a wallet. A truly mind blowing routine. Scratch comes with 20 gimmicked cards, a gimmicked soft leather wallet, along with online instructions. Scratch is easy to perform with no palming cards or forcing numbers. With an instant reset this is the perfect accessory for the professional worker." |

How free is the choice of numbers?
Is the idea that you get the supplied cards printed to look like they are your business cards? Or can you use these cards right out of the box? |

I like the looks of it but how much are refills going to be and will they be regularly available and also available in a year or two's time?

The effect looks fantastic, but I would need to see a full performance to decide if this is something I would perform.

I ordered it almost two weeks ago. Shipped but has been sitting in Laois, wherever that is, for a week. So who knows when it will get to me.

There doesn't appear to be a refill purchase option yet. Gaz has mentioned that you get 20 scratch cards and the wallet.

If it’s a genuinely free choice of numbers then it would have to be something similar to Koran's Medallion. The wallet probably is a version of C2W. They would have to supply refills for this type of effect. I’m sure they’ll be available soon. How long they will be available depends on how well this sells and gets used. The lottery ticket changing to a selected card is either a bonus effect included or something RNK has added himself, or he’s talking about another effect. |

I don't think anyone will question the blank back, they are too distracted with the scratch offs and resulting prediction. Since the backside of these cards are blank, you probably could print your business card on the back, if you wished, or use the sticker business cards available everywhere to attach to the back. I've inquired about future refills but did not get a reply yet. |

I had the original effect "Predicta" - in fact still have a few of those cards in a drawer. The graphic style of the numbers leads me to believe the methodology is very similar. With "Predicta", you needed to do a little work once you found out the selected number. The way the effect was presented, there was plausible cover for the action you needed to take. Not sure here, but based on Gerard saying "Earlier on, we had both of you think of a number..." makes me think it's a similar situation. There needs to be some time between finding out the two numbers, doing what you need to do, then handing the scratcher cards to the participant. I'm sure he's developed a clever way to do that, though!

You wouldn’t buy this until you knew the cost of the gimmicks, would you? Well I wouldn’t.

I just got this. I don’t have Predicta but he says that’s what this is based on. So I’m assuming the method is the same. The tutorial is 20 min and has a few live performances which is nice. What’s not nice is that he completely glosses over the gimmick. He doesn’t even explain the principle. So I had to watch it a few times to understand what was happening. Extremely odd since he glosses over what makes the trick work but ultimately, I figured it out. The wallet that comes with it is very nice. Soft leather with royal blue stitching and a royal blue elastic band that goes around the wallet the keep it closed and also hide part of the method. I’ve never owned a Secret Tannery wallet, but I have at least 20 magic wallets and the quality of this one is as good as anything I have. It’s certainly the best looking.
He uses a book test to cover the necessary writing. I think I will use DFB which lets you imput two numbers (with the pro tools). That way you can already have the predictions written and only have to worry about the numbers. So no double writing. The only real challenge is justifying the scratch card which looks like something no one will have ever seen before. It would have been nice if it had some print on the top section to make it look like a raffle card or even just “Lucky Numbers”. As is, it’s just an odd looking black card with two scratch off boxes. It’s also odd that refills aren’t available as he says he’s been performing this for 15 yrs. Overall, it is certainly something different. If you can come up with a good presentation and some justification for the card, I can see how this has the potential to be very powerful. Reset is about 5 seconds as long as you have spare scratch cards in the wallet. As for angles, you can’t have anyone on your sides or behind. |

Wondering how you will use this with DFB Eric?
Since DFB is a prediction effect where the prediction has been written down before performing. |

Haven’t figured out all the details. I just like that DFB gives you a justification for asking for two numbers. Ideally, i’d like to figure out how to print the DFB picture prediction on the back of the scratch card so you can use the card as a double reveal.

Thank You for the review, Eric! At the price it is going for and all of the "potential" it has instead of out-of-the-box plug-n'-play, I give this a
