I am increasingly impressed with the performance range this book test enables. Stresses some themes and some parts of the narrative, and you have a splendid bizarre/halloween type effect. Stress others, and you have a year-round effect that can be adapted to any audience (except children?).

Still loving this! I have the 100 greatest novels list from the guardian set up in my DFB (as I’m trying to read them all, or so I say) I’ve been asking for a random number, then doing the Frankenstein test, then revealing Frankenstein at their number on DFB.

It plays really well. I originally used the book as a physical prediction by doing DFB first but after trying it the other way around I like it better and it seems stronger for some reason!

Slightly off topic, but I am relieved to find that I am not the only one that needs a magnifying glass when visiting the loo.
Please check regularly if you are becoming the type of magician Jerry Seinfeld jokes about. (This applies to mentalists as well.)

No apologies needed. That post is more informative then any I’ve ever shared here 😂

It's working for me. Are you getting a specific error?

Cheers,

Paul

I love the irony (or intention) of the use of "brian".

Just managed to order after my error! Looking forward to this, from what people have said it will be awesome. How do I get the extra instructions?

Frankenstein is a very good book test. I have performed it twice. Two thoughts:

1. The Flashback method is more advanced but somewhat more difficult. In my second performance, I did not get a spectators word but was able to identify three letters inherited word. Need to spend more time with the book so that I can recall the word on each page.

2. The long word effect is essentially the similar to MOAB, but with two or three extra hits available.

The instructions are well done.

Sorry to hear you are struggling. I’ve never had an issue with the flashback words, I find it really easy. It helps to look through them first before performing. I’ll also message you directly to see if I can help, so as not to give anything away here!

It becomes second nature pretty quickly once you play with it a bit.

The interesting thing about the flashback qsd that I designed it so that it has an in-build method for knowing the word.

Any book test requires a good once over, however, because the word that YOU peek is THEIR word but backwards, then it is merely a matter of spelling it backwards as you write it down on a business card.

Alternatively, write the word that YOU peeked onto the biz card then write the same word underneath but in reserve.

Scribble out the original word as an "error" and you are left with the correct word that they are thinking of without your brain trying to "backtrack" on the spot.
