Can anyone give me some tips on setup and performance? I spray myself more than I'd like and I have to shake the can more than I'd like. Any ideas?

Do it with a beer can.
Use the lighter technique. Clean up with a Q-Tip n Spit. U shouldn't even need to shake it, the action of showing it empty will do all the work for you. Curtis.

Buy the Tim Ellis notes, the others are a waste

I put a small amount of soda on the rim. That way I can hold it upside down and give it a shake as if getting the last drop out. This primes the can for expansion.
Subtle and effective. Given that I've done this effect about 10 times a week for the past two years, you pick up on these things. |

That sounds like a good idea to me Christopher. I've only performed this once because I was afraid of what people would think if they saw me shaking the can or moving it a lot.

Also you can rock it from side to side, asking them if they hear it filling up. also warm soda usually works better than cold. sometimes I use a recycling routine, and give an example using an emtpy soda can in a near by trash can.

What is really astonishing to me is how you can find that many ocasions every week to create this "impromptu" miracle. How do you find that many occasions to set this up on a daily basis? Could you share this with us? I believe it would be of invaluable help and instruction to everyone. Thanks!

I have an opening 8 minute act based upon healed and sealed. Setup only takes about 30 seconds and I uaually do it during my introduction music. I keep the supplies in my case on stage and sometimes start the setup when I walk on stage and that way it is ready to go after my welcome, depends on the situation.
