Hi Reed, no patter is provided with these tricks by Pohle. His tricks are often strong close-up illusions (but not very examinable). This one is no exception, it is a very strong illusion that is really unique. The presentation is that a solid block will stop when dropped on a plank, when the plank is plain side up, but it will pass right through - visibly! - when the plank has its decorated side up. The plank (though not the block) can be handled by a spectator, and you can handle the block pretty freely. The outfit looks interesting and attractive. The frame is styled like a pagoda and all pieces are glossy, either painted or have nice decals. The decorations on the plank look like Chinese writing, so you can make up a story about what they represent and why that allows the block to crash through. It is a startling, incredible illusion. PM me if you get this as I have a few more tips to share on the execution of the effect.
