What magic book are you curently occupied with right now?

Mysel I am in a Vernonesc period, with the intention to read most of his works.
Curently I'm digesting his Inner Card Triology (Inner, More, and Further Inner Secrets of Card Magic... all bound up into one volume) from L&L Publishing.
You can read the Professor's books over and over again (which I am doing) and never get bored. There is loads of things out of his works that will keep you occupied for a lifetime.

The Inner Card Triology, followed by Ultimate Card Secrets is a must for you card lovers out there.

Granted, these books are old and so is the writing style (Lewis Ganson), but non the less they should be studied.

I'm always studying Erdnase, and, as of late, I've been reading and digesting the material in Robin Robertson's Handle With Care. I'm a bit behind the times, I suppose, considering Erdnase was published in 1902 and the Robertson book in 1964. Ha.

I purchased it when it first came out! I was overwhelmed by the material and didn't know how great it was at that time.. Everyone started talking about it so I got it off my bookshelf and started reading, It is brilliant, just needed to give it another chance. A great book will always be great, sometimes we just can't see it.

The Royal Road to Card Magic. When I want new magic, and can't afford to buy any, I scan through this and find something which is brand new. For instance, the simple but astounding Palm Card in the Pocket tonight...

"mastering the art of magic" eugene burger, should be in my mail box soon. Smile
The great trouble with magicians is the fact that they believe when they have bought a certain trick or piece of apparatus, and know the method or procedure, that they are full-fledged mystifiers. -- Harry Houdini

Wesley James' "Enchantments"
Some of the material in here is absolutely brilliant. one of the best things is that the routines are each graded as to how much work has been done:

FINAL- The finished item
BETA- Some changes could be made
ALPHA- Can be altered, but the effect is there
SEWT- Just a brief idea, not finished

personal favourite effect in here has to be 'Hyper Warp' this is a great version of Card Warp. before reading this I had lost faith in CW, but now it is one of the features of my close up repertoire!
James' Ambitious Card is also great, and his tips on Palming, The Pass, and varied Deals is invaluable.

I am also reading "Stanley Collins: Conjuror, Collector, Iconoclast" Also brilliant. A great account of an obviously great conjuror!
