Did the original Rings n Things make a locking 10 inch key ring if so was it designed differently from Klamm's 10 inch ring?
Can someone send me pictures they have of them?I am trying to determine if my locking ring is Klamms or Rings N Things. |

Don:
Being from St. Louis originally, I am not aware of the original Rings n Things ever making any locking rings at all, although they possibly could have made locking rings as a one-off. Odds are that your locking rings are Klamm's, IMHO. |

I think you are right the chrome on an extra key and the locking ring is ok but not to Rings N Things standard. These rings have blemishes from the plating, such as light or dark spots.
The oversized ring has plating that is superb,so that is Rings N Things. I have a straight 8 set of Rings N Things rings that had a oversize ring, extra key ring and locking ring all kept together in the red Rings N Things bag,for a total of 11 rings. They where purchased by me in the early 1980's from a Navy sailor,as Rings N Things.I also purchased a zombie and wand from him.(Rings N Things). The mystery has been solved... Thanks... |

As I remember from working at the local magic shop, Rings and things only made a the 8 inch and 10 inch rings in the 1970's. Oversize and locking was not even thought of in those days.
Never seen a bag being offered ever by the original manufacturer. They were all sold in a white box. The owner had to get out an order to E-Z magic for 20 thousand sets of rings. He was working constantly, and no time specialty requests. I should have taken him up on working for him and making Zombie's for him. |

The first set of rings that I bought were a 10-inch, 3-ring, Rings n Things set. They came in a black leatherette carrying bag stamped "Rings N Things" along with Tim Starr's wonderful 3-ring routine.

Oh boy, message from Tim Star who created at Rings N Things qoute on Linking Rings
Yes the rings was one of the best seller, perfekt quality and that was thanks to Fred Ashear that did the polishing on the rings before they were plated. And the best part was the locking key ring. Now I am confused again, however plating on this key ring my still be Klamms. |

Klamms used the Endardo set I belive. I seem to recall that Levent purchased the last of Klamm's rings.

The l***king ring I have is different from the one Levent shows as a Klamm l***king K*y ring, maybe it is a Rings N Things ring...since Tim Star did make them.
