Hello!!

I would like to know your opinion about Who are the Best Stage magicians Today (This is a REALLY Subjective question, but it's interesting to know who are the best for YOU, and for YOU, and for YOU)

I don't mean Just in tecnique, I mean in General, in all aspects a Great entertainer should have.

My favorites, and the ones I'd like to learn as much as I can are:

- Joanie Spina
- Amos Levkovitch
- Tony Clark
- Jeff McBride

....these are the first on my list. But there are more.

What about you?? Who are those magicians you love to watch on stage and would love to assist to their lectures once and again?

Regards,

Alejandro.

I will list a few and not only list them but also to tell you why I feel that way. The reasons behind why we like them I think is more interesting then just their names.

- McBride: Very creative thinker in terms of acts, routines and his devotion to the art of magic is top notch. He also teaches anyone and is willing to share his knowledge with others.

- Shimada: Just an absolute genious when it comes to manulative and stage magic. His passion shows through in his constant pursuit of learning and refining the craft.

- 'Ice" McDonald: Not so much for his act but more for his lectures and for his passion to teach others.

- Tommy Wonder: Excellent performer and a person who strives to go the extra mile to make his magic that much more entertaining for an audience.

There are many others but I will start with these for now.

Salvano is also very good. I had the honor of meeting him at the NYC SAM convention. if we can list our reasons why we like the person, I think that would be of great value to everyone.

Mac King is wonderful. His show is so perfect in so many ways. I really studied his show after I saw it because it was an amazing thing how it just flowed perfectly and how he manages to connect with the audience so well. By the end of the performance, you not only LOVE Mac but you would almost do anything for the guy.

What about Jay Scott Berry. His style is so graceful and elegant, you just get so caught up with the magic which is just happening effortlessly in his hands. The man is simply a genius!

Oh heck yeah dude!!! Veronin rawks the casba'! I've seen him a few times, man I'm totally left in stitches! Terry Evanswood, Rick Thomas, Cardini, Neil Foster, Alan Wakeling, and Dale Salwak are some other folks who are very talented, skilled, and just overall entertaining magicians who -I feel- shouldn't go overlooked.

If you guys can also list WHY you like these performers, I think that would benefit a lot of us more then just a mere listing. There are qualities in a performer or skills they have that must make them entertaining to you.

Kyle is right! Let's put WHY.

- Joanie Spina: Has a great knowledge in Showmanship and knows perfectly how to enhance the magic with the Body.
- Amos Levkovitch: He has a GREAT Stage Persona. Very funny, Perfect. He turns the classical magic in a very pleasant experience
- Tony Clark: He has an excellent stage image. he is the "Ken" of Magic, the "Robert Redford" of magic. His magic is aesthetical, beautiful.
- Jeff McBride: He LOVES what he does and transmit it very good. and it's almost an encyclopedia with feet.

This was just an overview.

What about yours. Smile

Shawn Farquhar - a very personable man, and a incredibly talented performer. He knows magic inside and out, but he is not just a skilled craftsman, but he is also able to use his skills in the real world for real laymen to ENTERTAIN. He is both pure entertainer, and pure magician.

- Donald.
Donald Dunphy is a Victoria Magician, British Columbia, Canada.

I''l Have to say Franz Harary for being well, original fusing his love for sci fi with magic and coming out on top. Oh yes and also Roy Davenport who re-creates his great grandfather, lewis' act. really is wonderful and a joy to watch every time!

I would also add Franz Harrary as well. I would not add him for his performance style, but for his amazing ability to think creatively and always pressing for new and innovative ideas and solutions.
