I am studying the "Back to the Future" effect from the book Card College Light by Roberto Giobbi.
How the effect is presented: "The magician transports himself into the future, memorizes what happens there, returns to the past, and then predicts the occurrence in the present: a confusing story with a clear effect." ...could it actually create some confusion for the spectator? What do you think? Do you perform this effect with the same presentation as Giobbi? Also, I could NOT find a video of this effect. Thanks! Best regards |

Yes,
I have been using this kind of plot both for this classic trick and for a trick read in a Eugene Burger book (this one involving three cards). The "go to the future and back" is a good idea since it steers away from the usual "I put down a prediction ..." When you introduce the trick and the plot, you need to be very clear about what will be going on and therefore you need to have a good script. Mark |
