Hi guys,
Today I would like to introduce you something which has been a huge hit here and that we are so proud to release worldwide with the team! Official Trailer: Uncut Performance (in English) Uncut Performance (in French): Demonstration + Craig Petty's amazing reaction: Description: "SNOW DECK" offers your audience an imaginative experience. A simple and direct effect, which is very easy to perform and hits with serious impact! One blank deck, a randomly named card and a killer revelation! You introduce a deck where every card is blank on both sides, you remove one of the cards and ask a spectator to imagine a card printed on it (your spectator has a totally free choice of any card). The blank card is now placed back in to the deck. Now, instantly, without any sleights or moves, you spread the cards and one printed card back appears in amongst all the blanks! You now flip the spread over to show the face and of course the only card that exists in the deck is your spectators freely named card! This is no pipe-dream, SNOW is easy to do, there are no sleights required and above all it is A TOTALLY FREE CHOICE! Yoan TANUJI, creator of Comic Book Test, Room 66, Bicycle??? Passport, Fast n Genious, Lotricks, etc.), left nothing to chance when creating the SNOW DECK. During his 100 s of performances every detail has been thought out to offer your spectators a completely mind-blowing routine that will leave them speechless. Unlike the Invisible Deck, Brainwave and Mental Photography, the SNOW DECK does not use any Roughing. The SNOW deck is a self-contained masterpiece! Learn SNOW DECK in minutes. Five routines are taught on the tutorial video which runs for 1h30. On the video Yoan is joined by the super talented Sebastien CALBRY who shares his amazing tips, ideas and routines for the SNOW deck. Points To Remember : - No roughing - Any Named card, Free choice - Very easy to do - No sleights required - Printed by USPCC, Air Cushion Finish, Bicycle??? Brand - 5 routines taught in one hour and half of video explanations - Blue and Red reveals included - Perfect for close-up, on table with or without mat, or standing in cocktail format. Big names in magic such as Bernard BILIS, Peter NARDI, Boris WILD, Craig PETTY... Have already been seduced by this pure trick & the smallest details of the SNOW DECK! Some great reviews there : Boris WILD : If you enjoy Invisible Deck or Mental Photography type routines like I do, Snow Deck takes a step even further as the card randomly named by a member of the audience will be the only one printed, back and face, in an all-blank deck. All this with one deck only and any card. Snow Deck is a guaranteed avalanche of applause! Peter NARDI : Yoan has created a wonderfully clever and clean looking routine with his Snow Deck. The thinking behind the deck is brilliant. The moment I saw it I loved it. In fact I have already created a few routines for it which I am pleased to say one is included on the video tutorial. You can also find beautiful PICTURES on Instagram (@magicdreamparis) and more details about this release on our website. SNOW DECK will be available this month from highly recognized magic dealers, hope you will like it! Feel free to ask me if you have any questions or comment! Thank you for your attention. Have a nice day, Best, Greg Magic Dream Click here to view attached image. |

This reminds me of Alexander de Cova's "Blank Thought Surprise" routine.

I’m not sure how fooling this is. Or at least how shocking it is. I mean that move is a pretty weird action with hardly any justification for doing so. “I thought it was this card, but it isn’t”. What?
Maybe there is better patter offered in the tutorial, and of course you can come up with your own. But I feel like it only takes a bit of common sense to work out what you are doing considering they said their card right before. |

If in fact that single card he removes and then puts back in the deck before he spreads them can be shown freely on both sides it would be very simple to come up with patter to justify that. All I would say is, "your card, the card you're actually thinking of is actually printed right on this card, see, look closely, can't you see it? Actually, what the hell am I talking about, I can't see it either".
Then simply put that card right back in the deck and continue with the effect. So many other things you could say to justify taking that card out, I just hope you can show both sides of that card before putting it back into the deck.

Unfortunately it doesn’t look like you can show both sides of the card. If you watch the uncut performance in English, it’s pretty clear how this works. He takes the card out, does the “move” and then puts the card back in. And then one is turned over. So no you cannot show both sides

Even if you can't show both sides of that card, you can use the paddle move to show both sides. When I pulled the card out I would show it first at the lower level and as I'm coming up I would do the paddle move to show the other side. But that is a bummer.

Lokking at the trailer you see clearly that the card that what was taken out can be showed on both sides.

Paddle move is your only option, I suppose

Paddle move is not a option.

Paddle move is not a good idea at all.
When you pull out the ‘gimmick card’ place on top of ‘ungimmicked’ card that’s on the table. Place deck on table whilst rotating 180. Pick up both cards and perform a 2 card flushtration count which, when done smoothly, looks perfect. Throw the ‘ungimmicked’ card to the spec and place ‘gimmick’ card back into the deck. |

Why are you taking another random card out, straight after they name their card? No matter what you say it still seems strange IMO. |

TBH only magicians worry about unwarranted moves. As long as you can continue the patter it makes no difference to specs.

Hats off to this magic creator, even a round of applause... simply because they at least gave a full uncut performance of the trick, very rare these days!! However, like other knowledgable magicians here the trick is simple to work out its method, but it is a good fooler for the audience - it doesn't claim to be a "magicians fooler" (a term I've never understood, why I want to fool a fellow magician, my money is earned by performing to the public!).
Anyway, great little effect, but not for me. |

If this deck includes the gaff cards I think it might then I may pick it up just for that. But I also admittedly have a great fondness for these types of effects as well as gaffed decks in general. I’m not convinced that everyone commenting about how easy it is to work out have really worked it ALL out, or just a small part of it. Just like laymen do if they think they know one small element of a trick then they disregard the entire thing.
AFA taking out the named card I would probably ask if anyone else sees the 8 of clubs on that card and then remove 3 or 4 cards and say that you may see the 8 of clubs on this one and you on this one, etc. and then do some kind of quick false display apparently showing all sides of each card. You have to do very nonchalantly. I agree that removing only a single card seems suspicious. |

Sounds a lot like Frost. I wonder what makes this better/different?

Now we both know this is exactly the method used because you can quite literally see this method used on the video. And no it’s not “part of it”, it’s the entire method. One move and the gaffed cards is the only secret to this effect. No other “part”. I do agree that this was a very generous ad copy. Quote:

I admit this is a very nice effect and usually right up my street. I can see myself using patter along those lines so will put an order in. Thanks videoman! |
