I am a big Andy Nyman fan. This looks to be somewhat of a collaboration with Steve Cook of “Die-abolical” fame. Love the look of this “giallo” inspired piece. Here’s the description:
“The latest creation from the devilish mind of Andy Nyman - a deadly prediction that is surefire and utterly fooling. The spectator removes the 3 skulls from the spike and place them into a drawstring bag. They mix them and then choose one for themselves - inside the small round box is a 4th skull, a prediction of the skull they will choose…it is never wrong! The procedure is utterly fair and they can even change their mind. Each unit is handmade in the UK, coming complete with two drawstring bags and an instruction booklet featuring three full scripted presentations penned by the maestro himself, Andy Nyman.” https://www.mazelmagazine.co.uk/product/3-skulls-on-a-spike |

I really like this. Makes a great shelf piece/curio.
If what goes on is what I think it is, seems to be a pretty clever method. Not as obvious per se as Steve Cooks Diabolical v5. Very close to purchasing....though why am I hesitating? It's Andy Nyman! That settles it, I'm purchasing! |

I am all in as well. At the very least, I want it as a display item.

Yup. order is in. Looking forward to getting this.
Thanks for bringing this up here. Wouldn't have known about it otherwise. |

Looks promising.

My questions about this effect center on the "round box". When you see it in person does it appear as suspiciously large as it does in the photo? What does the inside look like when it is opened up? What kind of handling is needed before it can be opened? Unfortunately, the video doesn't show the effect, so there's no way to know short of buying it.

I picked this up earlier in the week, mainly because I'm a huge Andy Nyman fan, and because I like Steve Cook's DieAbolical routine. I love the look of the props; lots of presentational possibilities. I will post my thoughts after it arrives.

It’s an equivoque everyone should know. You are just buying the props and a script most of us already know imho Gaz

Not so sure, Gaz. Look, I could be wrong, but I think with the round box, it may be more of a clever out gimmick. Not so much clever wording.
At least I hope it's not anything like the equivoque going on here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyxXbC5vjEg |

Ordered. This just looks so beautiful. I trust Andy’s mind and even it’s not what I think it’s still beautiful

The props look superb but, at the moment, am struggling as to how to explain the three skulls and/or a spectator's reluctance to handle something gruesome.
Hopefully in the routines Andy has some suggestions. Overall this does, though, look a classy release. Neil |

So if it’s based along those lines I think it would be poor. If Andy has taken that out of it with a clever gimmick then wonderful but why then credit the core poor principle that anyone and everyone can see through Gaz |

I saw it performed a few weeks ago. It's like the original version of Diabolical with Andy's script. Hope that helps.

Yeah I didn’t like it as even if they pick the 33% chance the strongest outcome then that’s still not at all earth shattering.
If they don’t then the other outs can and do weaken what already is weak imo. Ok which hand is 50|50 but it’s repeatable and you can predict in advance what they would pick by the power of their thoughts. Anyway if you are doing a seance routine and building up through different stages of impossibility then it maybe just your thing. Andy will definitely have a great script, I have no doubts on that Gaz |

With good presentational skills all the outcomes are strong.

I like Andy's ideas and presentations. Unfortunately not a fan of Steve's methodologies. So I’ll definitely pass on this until I see some rave reviews.

I am loving Andy Nyman's subtle variation of Steve Cook's classic effect, an effect and principle which has stood the test of time and has apparently been a part of Andy Nyman's repertoire for around 40 years, a version of which was marketed and performed on TV by Wayne Dobson and a deluxe set produced by Magic Wagon.
I have slightly altered one of Andy's very nicely scripted voodoo storylines by decorating the round wooden box on my beautifully made piece to look like a Carribean style drum. Paul McCaig. Click here to view attached image.
