Where can I find the *****'s that he talks about? In the video he says he'll provide info where to buy them (if you don't want to buy the pre-made ones) but there's no info where to buy them on your own.

Wravyn, I've made the "forgot to unsubscribe" mistake myself in the past with other sites, and, generally speaking, really do not care for subscription models. Much rather buy just what I want, when I want it. Same with "buy 3, get the 4th free" or similar offers. Too many times I ended up either not needing or not wanting the extra, and ended up paying more for items not used.

Have to agree, I enjoy Joel's material, have many of his products, but am really coming to dislike the membership approach. I have to subscribe to so many things now - all the various streaming services, music services, software...etc. I have over 20 subscriptions, and although most of them are under $15 a month, it adds up!! I like the effect, but gotta pass.

Maybe it's time to change the tagline of the Magic Cafe to "Magicians helping (themselves to the whole wallets of) other magicians" ;-p (mostly kidding ;-)
I'm happy to BUY what I want, and enjoy supporting those who give me value, in many ways, but this modern subscription model for everything is a nonstarter, at least for me. I may be the outlier again, but I sure would like to see creators able to profit *within reason*, and customers able to buy without being nickel and dimed. |
