Where is David Blaine now? I mean, is he on break or what? I'm just curious cause I heard he was supposed to come out with a a new special a few months back but guess not. Anyone have any idea?

I believe you mean David Blaine, who had a TV special on strolling/walk-around magic performed to spectators on city streets and sidewalks.

Street magic has since been adulterated to mean walk-around/strolling magic done guerilla-style on an unsuspecting public. Its original useage meant a busker performing a magic show -- gathering and entertaining a crowd and collecting tips to earn a living -- on the streets, lanes, sidwalks, plazas, squares, etc.

The two varieties are no longer interchangeable and have little in common other than the performing venues.

Yeah it was ... about two months ago.

Blaine was at my university (I haven't stepped in a highschool for 3 years now Brian LOL) accompanying with a guest speaker (Holoclaust survivor).

Blaine was inspired by this honored speaker, thus he volunteered to drive him...

Thanks Nash for the clarification. I knew you are a year or so older than me, so there would be no way you could be in high school. Yet I thought you said you had stopped by one in your town. Anyway, that is pretty awesome you got to meet him. (It has been a couple of years myself since I stepped inside the halls of a high school).

So, does anybody know his exact location now?
Or maybe he ended up like Harry Houdini, killed in a stunt.
