I just came here to learn about the effect, and instead...? The arguments on this forum remind me of the fights I see on prison reality shows where two dudes are ready to throw down over a missing package of ramen noodles. It's equal parts tragic and humorous to see how some "adults" choose to spend their time.

I guess I'll just watch the trailer and discuss it with my cats. At least when they're involved in a thread it doesn't devolve into this kind of chaos.

Unfortunately for you I have already thought about concert tickets so you can’t do that because I’ve already thought about it.

I already thought about something before you did. I demand you stop all thinking!

Craig seems to have done the magic World an absolute solid in more ways than one! 'Newguy' must be crying into his cornflakes. Well done to Sudo for having the balls to do what is right in this situation, that couldn't have been easy. Imagine if Craig had capitulated on this issue then none of this underhanded behaviour would have been brought out into the open. I never post (1 previous post to thank another creator) but what a time to be alive???????????? Well done Craig!

I'd have more respect for Weber if he hadn't run away as soon as he'd been unmasked. The pseudo-intellectuals are always the biggest cowards.

He is probably trying to get this topic taken down. Don't think it will be long before this topic will disappear.

Also, taken down for what? Because it says something he doesn't like? You don't have to be a mad libertarian to think that's a pretty bad look for democratic free speech

Magic and mentalism are older than any of us,and to lay claim to a plot, and prevent someone else from exploring it is just silly. You can copyright an expression of an idea but not the idea itself. Its one thing if Craig released the same effect without any additional thoughts but he has taken an idea and expanded it in so many ways that its now its own resource full with new ideas. Those ideas which may one day become the basics for other effects. That's is how we progress the art and science.

Craig should credit Weber but not have to worship and obey him. This behind the scenes bullying needs to be brought out into the light so people can see what ***h0les their heroes actually are. Also "newguys" posts are even more cringe inducing than tiktok videos. The fact that newguy has not posted again speaks volumes.

So yours they are.

I hereby publish that I think about the binary principle in regards to Best of/Top Lists :
Top streamed movies (in diffferent countries)
Top music charts (in diffferent countries/years/weeks)
Top talked about celebrities (in diffferent countries/publications)
Top performing stocks

No one is allowed to use that or talk about that any further....

Two questions:
Why has Conjuring Archives updated again with this?
I know when I first opened the link in Craig's post, it just listed that it had been mentioned in genie. Now, there are 3 listings of where it was published.

Did I hear Craig read something to the effect of... Don't release yours because we want to release ours?

Denis explained why. He noticed that people were searching for it, and since he had the first 10 issues, he began adding it. He's just one person, and Real Secrets was probably time-consuming to enter due to its vague credits, lack of publishing dates and page numbers, so it is no wonder it took him some time. Denis have no horse in this race, beyond the wish to have a database where people can find what they are looking for, so this line of thought can safely be laid to rest.

To give a little more credence to the idea that “newguy” is most likely Weber, consider this posting from newguy in 2016: https://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/sear......=8958979

Here is a magician who is clearly well educated and well versed about magic, the etymology of various tricks and routines, and the current state of the art. And this is back in 2016. Just before newguy makes this posting, “mastermindreader” introduces the topic of “Michael Weber”. Yet newguy clearly and deliberately misspells the name as Webber. Newguy is doing this “accidentally” again 7! Years! Later! Any other normal, well-versed, magician would have started using the correct spelling of the name. Anyone else. Put yourself in those shoes. If you knew what you were talking about, and were still interested in magic, you would spell this man’s name correctly.

Newguy is clearly not some newby. He’s got a hidden agenda, and most likely the man himself.

Apart from derailing this thread any further from Craig’s magic. I would love to see newguy come back on here and defend himself. He *is* a lawyer, so I’m sure it would be fascinatingly creative. Smile

If you think THAT'S what makes it obvious... wait until you see this:

and then see who published this 4 years later:

This shattered my heart. I’ve been trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. But that post (Triumphotocopy) is irrefutable proof. I’m feeling very disillusioned right now Smile
