There is a petition going around. Basically standing up to things like this from happening. I’m not even sure if it’s allowed to be posted in the Magic café anyway I’m 100% with Craig. There’s a way that you go about things they did not do that correctly. That part is simple in my mind.

Just to be clear; The argument isn't whether this was really published or not; it's to the extent in which it was kept suppressed by Newguy and Trono (due to the nature of the Real Secrets club itself), therefore meaning that Craig couldn't not have simply seen it, copied it, researched it etc.
Because of how secretive their trick in RS was kept, it's proof that Craig's creation is independent. But further more; EDCeipt isn't just the bare bones trick as has been printed in Real Secrets issue #2, 2012. EDCeipt is a mammoth, 6 hour+ project, which from the trailer which has just launched looks to be absolutely incredible. With many fantastic names involved! As someone said earlier, this is like comparing a bicycle with a Tesla. Yes they both have wheels and will get you places but a lot more engineering, updates, ingenuity and thinking has been putting into one over the other. And in this case, the creator of the Tesla hadn't known about the bicycle. Either way, Newguy and Trono won't aplogoise. That's on them. But bravo to Craig and all those who collaborated on this fantastic looking release! |

Should the release of a secret that must be kept secret to a select elite even be treated as a release into the magic community?

It's ludicrous we had Overdraft by Paul Fowler and Master Con by Greg Wilson come out which is identical and nothing is said,we had Turbo Stick which was an improved updated version of Jimmy Rogers I'll do it again paddle effect and nothing was said.....the list goes on.
Craig comes out with an effect which has similarities to an effect so well hidden most of us hadn't heard of it and all of a sudden it's a major big deal! Let's move on and focus on more important things, I say good luck to Craig it looks like another winner from a very creative magician who put's out some great magic. |

Due to the original effect’s ‘secrecy’ Craig probably didn’t know about it, but he could have too. I’d be more likely to give him the benefit of the doubt if he didn’t recently pass off Aldo Colombini’s Paramount as his own creation.
