It's beautiful. I'm not even a card guy, but I'd absolutely love to learn this one, and the story behind it.

I wasn’t quite sure if I’d like it or not. TBH, I was a bit underwhelmed. But once I had a chance to actually work with it I began to like it a LOT!!! Now I have to agree with the many others who have said positive things about the Shelby because it is my new favorite peek wallet. It’s very small and light and minimalist, which is great for me because I don’t like to try and make these my true every day regular wallet so I carry it as something additional to my real wallet but it’s so small it takes up almost no extra space. But what’s really cool is that it is so versatile, you can get the peek in many very deceptive ways. It comes with a sticker that says RFID protection but I covered that over with what appears to be my ID. Also, a couple complained about it being noisy but I didn’t find it noisy at all. But I still removed the ma***t, not because it was making noise but simply because it’s not really needed. It still locks well enough with just friction but even if it didn’t there is no need for it to lock anyway. I’ve stated here for the last couple years that my fave peek wallet is Colin Cloud’s Alias Wallet. But the Shelby has dethroned the Alias for me. The Shelby can work in much the same way as the Alias but it can also be used in other ways that the Alias cannot. Plus the Alias could be difficult in low light and the Shelby is much better in low lighting. Combine the well made genuine leather construction with minimal size and extremely stealth peeks, and then add in the very reasonable price and I think the Shelby is a definite winner. |

I purchased a Shelby Wallet second hand and was amazed that nowhere was their credit for the Spy Cat Wallet upon which it is most clearly based. I wrote to the author who tells me he sold the rights to the individual who “created” the Shelby wallet. Absolutely amazing that this “character” who supposedly “tells it like it is” completely sidesteps this in the credits and brings up all kinds of wallets from the past when the truth is “I took an idea in an ebook on how to make your own peek wallet and I turned it into a ready made gimmicked wallet.
Mine is also not that well made, the pockets being squint. I wrote to Mark Mason with photos but he hasn’t replied. I think it’s a good wallet, a good idea. Disapppointed that people like Neil S who had both Spy Cat and Shelby didn’t see fit to mention the resemblance. |

It's fantastic, get a full card peek, super deceptive, and very easy to use. The noise some have mentioned is definitely not an issue at all.

I’ve been contacted by the creator to say that Spy Cat and Shelby were created independently and he bought the rights. I’m not sure this matches the timeline but I don’t care for this to turn into an argument so in the interest of clarity and balance I am posting this.

I just logged back into this thing after months... I had high hopes for the Shelby, I like the price of it. Cheap! However, looking at it, it doesn't feel or look great. What was more curious was that it was clearly designed after the cheap wallets that were suggested for Spy Cat alterations. Nothing mentioned at the time that it was similar to his creation. Curious. Then he releases a wallet, mimicking the same cheap wallets suggested, along with the Spy Cat feauture. But it's all paid for, so all is well! Anyway I don't want to say too much, or I, too, will get anonymous threats of "sorting me out" from a completely and utterly anonymous source. For legal reasons Im not suggesting this has ever happened, or the parties involved in this discussion has ever done such a thing.............

I was contacted by Gaz Lawrance from the very beginning of the project with the Shelbi wallet.
He did show me several wallets in- progress prototypes and we arrived at an agreement. I support him; he has all the rights to make it and sell it. He recently wrote me that he has donated all the proceeds from the wallet to a cancer charity.

“Iceberg” seems very similar to “Pocket Space Plus” by Tony Miller … only not as good.
If I were doing “Iceberg” I’d probably try to use it in conjunction with Regal’s “Clarity Box.” But as an EDC, Pocket Space is a far more baffling effect IMO. |
