Hey everyone,
I'm looking for a description of a trick, which can be done with cards or other printed material, which has the same back design. I have seen this multiple times, where a few cards (mostly 4) are ripped in half, put on top of each other and than based on instructions of the magician, the cards are seemingly shuffled ("take one half from the top and put it to the bottom" and similar instructions). The key item is, that at some point in the routine, one of the halfs are put aside or given to the neighbour. After an elimination procedure, only two matching pieces are left (or the one half, that matches the one, which was put aside). One version of that (just with sitting on a piece) can be seen in a video by David Copperfield (see https://youtu.be/DmOSsETTCk4?t=3524) . Does anyone has some source material, origins, pointers to where this is described? I'm currently looking for tricks, which can involve all spectators without having 50 cards selected %-) Thanks in advance! Bogomir |
