Having gathered a bit of a collection of old books, and being someone who makes thorough use of my books, and being that most of these books are out of print and difficult or impossible to replace, I've found myself getting interested in learning to make minor repairs to these books.
So... I thought it might be useful to collect in one spot some resources for those of us who might find it helpful. To start: This is a short video on repairing the hinge of a book spine. They mention a specific brand of adhesive but any acid free book binding adhesive is suitable. I got some fairly inexpensively on Amazon. https://youtu.be/zZE9sN_hTVc And here is a more general article on caring for book spines: https://www.chromalabel.com/blogs/sticky......%20tape.
