CARD to BOTTLE by J.C. MAGIC
A card is chosen by a spectator and returned to the deck. A transparent bottle is shown and the magician flicks the deck of cards towards the bottle, and all the other cards fall, except for one card that goes through the bottle! It was the one chosen by the spectator! The card and bottle can be handed over to the spectator for inspection. Features: No complicated sleights, no need to steal and hide the card Any bottle that can hold a card can be used (transparent, glass or plastic) and bottle can be handed over to the audience for inspection after the performance The gimmick can be used repeatedly - Can be performed close up No special requirements for performance distance, light or angle This is definitely the most perfect Card in Bottle you've ever seen! The clever design will amaze you, so hurry up and have it! Comes with the prop and instructional video Please supply regular bottle by yourself. |

I hate deceptive trailers. Like in this trailer there is a close up shot of the guy showing you the box inside and outside, then there is a cut that is easy to miss and the guy shakes the bottle and the card is now inside. It is clearly filmed in a way where the intention is to give the impression you can show the inside of the bottle and then go straight into the part where you can make the card appear in the bottle. I don't know the exact method, but by what I am guessing, there is no way you would be able to do this in a performance without switching the bottle in between or taking it out of view for multiple seconds as you fiddle with it to set it up for the card to appear. So in most cases you would bring the bottle into the performance with being already set up, and in that case you can not show it as openly as the trailer seems to imply.

The trailer has a moment in it where there is a text that says "close up performance" and the person is holding the bottle and displaying it to the camera, waves their hand behind it , opens to cork and shows the inside. To me this seems to imply that this is part of the "close up performance". But how would you do that in a close up performance? As far as I can think about how this trick is done, there is no way you would be able to do that in a close up performance in a way that is practical.

I am sure the playing card "must" be in the bottle and is hidden by a clever hand position
In the video at 0:52 to 0:54 there is a cut that covers up the insertion of the playing card I suspect a cleverly designed, very flexible folding card, but how it sticks to the middle of the bottle wall is still unclear to me ... In any case, trailer & effect is very seductively done |

Today mine arrived. It's exactly that what I thought.
It's not Black Art. The special card is very well made. You can use nearly any bottle, but the opening has to be a little bigger, because you have to Insert the Gimmicked card without to much bending itself. You can't Show the bottle without Cover the little Gimmick. The preparation takes only 5 Seconds. You can clearly Show the card inside of the bottle, but you can't Show the card from a very close distance. The effect is realy practical. |

If it's not black art, whoever made the trailer should slap themselves for only wearing black.
