Which of these two Bannon effects do you prefer, regardless of presentation?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YH5D5WQdBT8 (Collusion);

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYQ-YALXuzQ&t=172s (Four Sided Gemini).

Thanks!

Personally speaking, Collusion is genius. (As are pretty much most of John's stuff).

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal labotomy.

I agree... maybe "Four Sided Gemini" might make one think more of an initial setup than "Collusion"?

Thanks!

Another vote for Collusion. Four-Sided Gemini left me unimpressed.

I vote Collusion as well.

Re Collusion: Wouldn't count-dealing to the "created" card from the top of the deck look better? Dealing from the bottom seems weak and somehow gives a clue to the setup. It would require repositioning the target card to the top before counting/dealing to it, but I believe it's feasible while keeping the effect in the self-working category.

Personally I think the revelation of four of a kind (4 Sided Gemini) is more powerful (for lay audiences).
BUT I prefer Pre-Prefiguration because I think the method is better disguised, and the final card comes as a better surprise.

Claudio - I think counting from the face is absolutely fine (but I am much less experienced than you!)

You might well be right, Nikodemus, and it's probably a case of running without being chased. Still, from an aesthetic viewpoint I'd rather deal from the top to be consistent with the two previous deals.

Edit:
I’ve just hit on a very simple handling (still to be tried) to do just that. Happy to discuss in the secret sessions if there's any interest.

I am very interested in your variant! ;-)

I've been asked to describe my handling by a couple of members so I’ve started a new topic in the Secret Sessions forum to start a discussion.
