I don't come to the Café much these days, but glad I stumbled across this thread. Very generous of you Threadman777.

I am probably stating the obvious, but with this wallet, it also allows access for use with a NW.

Just been playing around with this case. Very nice. If you like subtleties, when you first take it out, you can casually do a paddle move while passing it from one hand to the other. This gives the impression to the spectators of seeing both sides of the case. And it just looks like you are innocently and naturally flipping the case over to position it with the right side up to open it.

As far as wallets go the Stealth Assassin is a great one and does not look like a prop.

Threadman's peek wallet is fantastic.
I know some people love the SAW. But I never understood the appeal. With the main peek (not the SUC peek) having to go back to the wallet to get the peek...not great in my opinion. Especially when there are many other options that do not require going back to the wallet. I bought a SAW on sale, had it for a while, then gave it away. If you are looking for an excellent, fool-proof business card peek wallet, threadman's is one outstanding choice. . |

Have you ever spent many hours with different versions of peeks with stacks of business cards, and then made up one, and failed to
use it and you wondered why? The reason is simple, but often subconscious. You instinctively know that to protect business cards, you should not be carried around in a stack in your pocket, etc. They will inevitably get dirty and/or lost, and worn as well. That is another reason why having a business card wallet, a nice simple one, like in this effect just makes so much sense. If you valued the business on your business card, you would want to protect them in a biz card wallet, right??? So I can't thank you enough for providing us with a great and I mean great effect and how to get the wallets!!! This actually represents something I have been waiting for, for many years, and didn't know it. Yes and as someone said, phony wallets where you have to reopen them for the peek, are useless to me..... I truly wonder why they just don't call these types of wallets, "the kind of obvious peek wallet"... Thanks again Threadman, for a great favor. |

I read through the entire thread a few months ago and excited about the idea, I ordered the suggested wallets (in black) - all with good intent. Between then and now I have purchased at least 3 other wallets (and have a Tannen “Modern Z Pro” inbound!). Sadly, I have also failed to do the necessary arts and craft for this one. So, somewhat to your point, this has been under my nose, all the while I have been out looking for the shiny new answer to my wallet dreams. Not to be deterred, I have ordered 2 more of the suggested business card wallets from Amazon (in brown this time) and intend to use them for actual business card holders, or maybe think about another magic use for them. As an aside, I have purchased a lot of Eddy’s stuff. I have 2 versions of his incredible index, his Peek deck and I recently ordered some thread products (from the Threadman himself!). Everything I have received from Eddy has been top class. This clearly is too. Please let me join the chorus of sincere thanks to you kind sir. Now it’s time to go buy a fresh Exacto blade . . . as soon as I get back home (in 2 weeks…).

I've thought about adding an extra magnet in the back to hold the flap in place when it's open (though it would reduce the size of the window a bit).

I had this in the back of my drawer. Got it out. I folded the cover back and FOOLED myself when I couldn't see the opening on the back. Then I realized, this is what I need. This is how I suggest doing it. when you purchased this, it came with two biz card wallets. Set up the gimmicked wallet, then fill the second, regular one, with the same type of biz cards, this time all of them are normal in this regular wallet. Bring out the ungimmicked wallet. show it to the spectator. Say something like thoughts are things and that you need proof they actually chose a thought, by writing it down. Let them check it out, casually, take it back and ask them to take a blank business card.
give them a pen, leaving this wallet in your pocket (if it is warm enough for a coat). If not, if the weather is warm, leave this in a pocket of your backpack, making the other gimmicked one positioned to grab. When they finish, casually reach for the holder, like you forgot, feel for the hole in the back, and bring out the gimmicked one. Let them push the card in, face down. Put it away. slowly and peek it. You can also hold it, let them put the card in, close it, put it on the table , and delay the peek when you put it away. Once a spec. examines something, they don't question it again. but never mention examining, etc. just be casual when they check out and remove their card, the first time. I realized how can it get better than this? If I fooled myself, this has to be priceless for mind reading. |
