Could someone point me in the direction of a refill of what Richard Sanders uses on his Alpha Deck and Ace cards?

I have used both Zag repositional glue and Aleen's "Tack it Over and Over" with success fixing cards for Ace and NFW

I Googled Zag glue but only Zig came up.

Guess I got Zig-Zagged Smile

It should have read Zig. I must not have used up my daily quota of brain farts before I typed that.

Actually, I wasn't familiar with the glue at all so I was happy for the reference - snd it was kind of funny searching Zag and only getting hits for Zig Smile Got some coming in today.

Zig Glue arrived today, and I really like it. The best part is the application pen. This glue is thinner in consistency and I found no need to spread the glue with my finger or toothpick. The glue dried thinner on the card, and with no uneven areas, so I found it to be noticeably less reflective of light. Drying time says, "A few moments". I waited about 5 minutes, and found that to be enough. When the glue turns from blue to white, it is said to be dry.

I ordered the chisel tip model, but received a fine point. I'm actually glad I got the fine point, as I can draw lines on the card back over white lines on the card, which seems to minimize tell-tale light reflection even more.

A very happy purchase.

I have a few tip sizes and shapes for different uses. Really good stuff.

3M Spray Mount is what he recommended for a similar application about 15 years ago. Worked quite well.

It is good for an overall application, and I have used it for different things, but the Joker that came with my "original ACE set" the artwork of the joker was all that was treated (king on bike) and the fine tip (or careful use of medium or chisel tip) has the ability to trace the exact outline rather than a Full card coverage making the re-separating easier. But yes, 3M Spray Mount, Science Friction, Plasti-Dip, Testors Matte... are all great items to have handy for different gaffing purposes.

Thank you all for the tip! When I got my alpha set it was too sticky. It literally had the clicky sound that Sanders discussed. I did as he advised and put my finger on it to spread finger oil. It worked, but soon after the gimmick stopped working as effectively. I noticed the cards would slide apart. Luckily no spectator caught it, but I could see it and would make me panic. Ordered the glue and tried it. Works just like what came on the gimmick.

Paul Gordon has a lovely effect called 'Twin Peeks' that requires a good adhesive for cards, and Zig did worked great and the application & drying process was *very* quick.
