My recently purchased, Johnson Product’s Ellis Ring is beautiful. I am afraid, however, to show it. The standard gaff is fascinatingly deceptive in appearance. So, it is fun to play with, but oh so simple. Johnson describes extremely simple moves also. Maybe that is why I am afraid I am missing subtleties needed to do justice to this skillfully crafted item. I’d love to see a pro use it, but I can’t even find a single demo on the web! And I don’t have any book discussing it. Is it an old item?

Are there good effects other than the ring reappearing from where the performer removed it? Can anyone lead me to a demo? Or any discussion of the beautiful Jardine Ellis Ring?
