This is an old effect of theirs- I am looking for a new one, and my recollection is that someone put this out under a different name. I thought it might be Paul Gordon-not sure
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks |

Color Aces is very close to Sympathetic Cards. There are slight differences in the handling.

Hello alondon,
I have a set of the Emerson and West "Sympathetic Cards," which is still in the original package and has never been used. So while purchased twenty years ago, they're in new condition. The manufacturer is Hampton Ridge Magic, and the cards are Hoyle backs. I wonder if that's the same as what you've been using. I'll never use these myself, so drop me a note if you want to take them off my hands. Thomas Henry |

There have been several similar effects based on "Sympathetic Aces" by Magic Ronnay (real name Franz Rosensteiner). "Queens Out of Control" by Jerry Griffin and "Royal Scam" by John Bannon are two popular ones.
My friend Doug Conn also sells the cards for this trick at Connjure.com. He performs it with a "Jumping Jacks" presentation. I believe that Doug favours a modified version of Frank Castle's handling, which can be found in his book Magic With Giant Cards. Doug also teaches his handling on his YouTube channel (it's a members-only video). He has permission to do this from FUN Incorporated, who own the manufacturing rights to the original handling.
