I have only recently heard of it and I would love to see it. On which TV channel was that?

That can cost you a few thousand dollars after you get the body shells custom made for your body. Plus they ripped that trick off of Peter Marvey so I'm sure it would be hard to get.

You could make a poor mans version of this if you get creative.

Pyromagician,
chichi711, is right. You could make a poor mans version of this. Look at the show again and you will see how it's works. |

This was an effect performed by ,I believe a man named Cyril. He is a member of T.H.E.M. (Totally Hidden Extreme Magic) This guy is popular in Japan.

Cyril just had another of his TV shows appear in Japan and did some incredible magic. I'm almost glad it doesn't play in the states because it will stop others from trying to reproduce his effects.
My extreme applause to Cyril!!! Greg

I especially liked this show because he did an outstanding presentation of the bottle. It's a fantastic show with a killer opening and an even more amazing ending. He does a brilliant card thru window that combines a couple of ideas. I like the style of his show a lot. He has in studio presentations, outdoor presentations, (and because the production company insists) he also does Blaine-on-the-street presentations... but even those out-do anything you've seen here. And to top it off, they don't do the style we have over here of doing a few tricks per show and hyping them up all the time to waste time... it's trick after trick after trick... he packs a lot into his specials. And If Cyril looks familiar to many of you...you are not just imagining it. He is the performer featured on Andrew mayne's site performing Bi-Section. Just thought I'd add that little tidbit.

Greg what is the Devil's Cola Bottel?

You can go to http://www.artfulmagic.com and see a video of it in action.
Basically, you display a cola bottle and hand it out for inspection. You tell them that these bottles are really well made and very hard to break. You even have them smash against a table or the floor to prove how hard these bottles are... you can even use the bottle to drive in a nail into a piece of wood. We did this at one of the LVMIs and they thought that was the effect since it's pretty impossible looking. Okay, the standard demonstration that some people now do is this: you show a shard of glass (also ungimmicked) and talk about how certain singers can hit a pitch that will shatter glass... you can do it mentally. You have them drop the shard of glass into the bottle and shake it a few times so you can hear the pitch. You stare at the bottle as they hold it and suddenly the bottom third of the bottle implodes. There is nothing to get rid of and you are not connected to anything. As a matter of fact, you can mail the bottle to someone and tell them what to do over the phone. Several individuals have now performed it in their TV spots and a few use it as special pieces in their act. Greg

This isn't "much" different than Copperfield's laser illusion where he bi-sectioned himself. Body shell and a whole lot of $moula$ - like everyone has said.
