As you are likely aware, the genre of trick called the Hotel Mystery is typically accompanied by a story line which (depending on the audience) may be inappropriate.

Apparently the origins of the trick include something called Thieves & Sheep, which may be used as an alternative.

Interested to hear any alternate patter which is more suitable for certain audiences.
