Bluether sets are well made. I've got the soft 2.0 set - not the silver plated version.
The white copper yellows some as it tarnishes but cleans up easily.
It's a good inexpensive alternative to real silver.

I'm assuming the silver plating avoids the yellowing issue.

Soft coins would need to be plated after softening or the plating would be removed.

Hi inigmntoya,

Just got my Bluether coin set 2.0 (softened), they came to me yellowish already. If you could help me on how did you clean your set? How did you do it? Thank you in advance.

Nevr-Dull, but it also took off the darkening/aging.
I haven't tried to put it back yet.

I was disappointed with my Bluether coins. They were yellow when they arrived and the “patina” looked far too uniform. I sent them back immediately.

I finally had some time and got around to darkening them again.

I used Brass Black to darken, then ran them across a 7-way nail buffer starting around "4" to remove the dark from the raised areas.

Did you submerge them in the Brass Black, or did you use a brush or sponge to apply the darkening solution?

The nail buffer is a good idea. Felt tip?

I apply the Brass Black with a Q-Tip. Just enough to cover the coin where the surface tension keeps it from running off the edge.

No felt on the nail buffer. I lay the coins flat on the surface and rub them back and forth, and make figure 8s:

I was thinking of similar for application of JAX Black Silver. Previously, I dunked the coins into a bath, but I don't want to be that aggressive (and I need to add patina to shimmed shells, so dunking isn't an option). My wife is a professional make-up artist and has many different small applicators: brushes, sponge-tip applicators, q-tips.

I was completely off the mark on the nail buffer. I thought you were describing a power rotary tool similar to a Dremel. I need to lay off the espresso.

***CORRECTION***

I used Birchwood Casey Perma Blue on the softened Bluether Morgans. Not their Brass Black which I've used on other coins.

I didn't like the "patina" on my soft set either so I´ve been working on those coins and kinda happy now how they look:
