Steve Bargatze just performed at the SAM convention in St. Louis, and performed a great bill counting routine with two spectators. When I spoke to him about it later, he said that it was a version of the Fred Kaps 11 bill routine. Does anyone know if this is in print somewhere?

Yes, in a nice book by that title. Variations are in print, notably the Dingle's using cards... it is a version of the Edward Victor 11 card trick.
So, have a look for the books, or the little manuscript which was around back in the late 1970s when Kaps lectured. :)

Anthony Brahams published it. He logs in here once in awhile. He put out half a dozen Kaps manuscripts.

Probably available from Denny's magic.
An absolute winner!

Steve is one of my mentors and I can tell you that if you contact him, he sells that same manuscript. I'm surprised he didn't have them there at the SAM.
You can email Steve at sbargatze@tssaa.org. Rick

I did talk to Steve about that, and he said that his manuscript was out of print, although I am uncertain as to whether he was referring to the original Kaps manuscript or his version of the effect.

I have an old Television video of Mike Caveney performing the Eleven Bill Trick with one spectator. The routine is truly mind blowing.

I do know that Denny and Lee's had the manuscript not long ago so you may want to check to see if they still have it.
Michael Skinner was the one who originally showed Victor's 11 card trick to Kaps in Monte Carlo. Fred then came up with the idea of using bills instead of cards. |
