I know Crazy man's handcuffs, linking rubber bands, and broken and restored(basically all that is in Ammar's book). What other good tricks are out there? I met a guy who did rubber band up nose, but he said it was one he invented.

My favorite is Chris Kenners Missing Link, However Vince Mendoza has taken this wonderful effect to the next level, his Found Link is now on the top of my list with his ring thing. I also incorporate Pinnacle and Simon Aronson's Ringleader into a routine with Found Link.
Please check out Vince's Found Link and Ring Thing and I almost forgot to mention Jeff Pierce's Joining as being one of the best effects as well. vinny |

Vinny,
Your words are too kind, and I know that they're genuine. Folks, I want to let everyone know that I'm now officially adopting Vinny as my father. He was instrumental in the release of The FLRT manuscript and his support has been incredible. I only released it July 6th and I've received an almost overwhelming response. I've had magicians in France, Belgium, England, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, Japan, Canada, all over the world, and a slew right here from the good old USA. I may have to increase the bandwidth on my website. As for answering the topic... Well, now I'm biased. Take a look at: http://www.flipsideproductions.com click on "take me to mendoza's magic" You can download the demo from there. Vincent Mendoza |

Found Link / Ring Thing and The Joining are both wonderful effects. FLTR is a bit more secure than The Joining and the one hand display is really nice (and the PDF is extremely well produced). I wouldn't recommend one over the other -- for their respective price, I would suggest getting both. Add these to Pinnacle & CMH and you've got an amazing impromptu routine.

The penetrating rubber bands (CMH) is probably one of the most popular standards of close-up performing, and has been one of my favorites.
Pinnacle is up there too, as it has some really nice disarming qualities, and show like "real" magic. It has made performing CMH even better when they are side by side in a routine. BTW, Pinnacle is now in its FOURTH PRINTING!....and still going strong!! |

I have never heard of pinnacle. Could someone explain the effect. I might know it, just not by name.

That was also in Ammar's book, or maybe not the same version. I haven't practiced that nearly enough.

I recently bought Vincent Mendoza's "Found Link and Ring Thing" manuscript and have to say it's great! I still have to practice it for a while before using it, but it looks unbelievable. Thanks for recommendation Vinny!

I got Pinnacle, because it had the Niedzwiecki name on it, and I was NOT disappointed! This is the best one I've seen so far, and now I'm going to check out Vincent Mendoza's site...
Also, I find the Dan Harlan volumes dealing with rubberbands a VERY good value. This and all of the above COULD make you the Rubberband King to your clients! Gratefully, Doug |

As Jeff says, the Joining is a great effect. I do a few other things with them, but it always gets the best response. Being able to have them remove the ring really blows them away.
