Hi. I’m looking for a set of the Camirand Chop Cups as used by Gary Ouellette in his polished routine. Any help in finding them would be much appreciated.

All you need for this routine is a Combination chop/cups and balls set. You will only need the chop cup and one of the standard cups.
Morrissey sold a set at a reasonable price and can still be found on the big auction site. There are newer manufacturers but I haven't had experience with their products so I can't really comment on them.

DuncanC:
Gary Ouelett's two cup routine, entitled "The Two Goblets" as published by The Camirand Academy of Magic, is, in my opinion, A THING OF BEAUTY, and well worth learning and polishing as a performance piece. It is a well-designed and unique presentation of closeup Magic designed to impress audiences (including audiences of Magicians!) and, most importantly, entertain them! Cup-wise, again, personally, I would suggest taking a look at various Combo Sets offered by Rings N Things, as they have the best variety, quality and selection, in my opinion. Two great sets to look at, for starters, would be the Mendoza Combo Set and the Foxy 3 Combo set, both in satin copper. Just my 2 cents worth as I like a solid, heavy-ish, set of cups to use. You can't go wrong with either of these sets of cups. I own both sets. Once you get the right props and get this routine down, you've got "a worker" that should last you a lifetime. Good luck! Also, just as an FYI. I strongly suggest finding and buying the John Mendoza cups and balls routine to have as a comparison routine to Gary Ouelett's wonderful routine. |
