Has anyone done any research on which numbers from 1 to 6 are most often selected by a spectator when asked to select a number from 1 to 6?

Are there any statistics regarding which number is most often selected and what percentage of the time a spectator will select a particular number?

As far as I know, there is no *scientific* research on this topic (and I am familiar with the research on the so called "Blue seven phenomenon" on the question which digit from 0 to 9 is selected most often).

For reference, a paper about the predominance of the number seven from 1976 by M Kubovy, J Psotka is "The predominance of seven and the apparent spontaneity of numerical choices.". It can readily be found via Google Scholar or Researchgate. I have searched in its citations and generally about 1-6/dice but have not found any meaningful results.

Please be aware that with all publications in psychology, (imo) reader's discretion is advised (replication crisis, p-hacking etc.). Especially with number preferences, it seems quite easy to accidentally construct experiments that use introduce some sort of framing.
