Kaymar have put out a clever prediction effect by the (in my opinion) criminally underrated Stephen Tucker. I really like way this method is structured. I doubt it’ll fool many magicians but considering that it’s a 100% free choice and the deck itself is ungaffed and genuinely shuffled, I could see myself doing this. Seems very practical.

Is the wallet essential to the working or will any wallet do?

If gold corners aren’t to your tastes, I suspect you could switch the wallet for any two sided credit card holder, as long as the cards fit. Being able to place the prediction on one side and the selection on the other is a requirement of the method, so a folding wallet wouldn’t be suitable.

FRENZY by Stephen Tucker and Kaymar Magic

An old thread, I know.
But I have just come across this.

I cannot find a "review" of this effect anywhere on the internet.
It seems to have evolved from

"WoWallet"
https://tricksupply.com/product/the-wowa......-estate/

"Frenzy"
https://tricksupply.com/product/the-wowa......-estate/

"Sorry Not Sorry"
https://www.kaymarmagic.com/products/sor......n-tucker

I have to ask myself ... if a special wallet isn't necessary, then how is it marketed in different ways".
I am intrigued.

I have posted you "disgruntledpuffin" ...

Perhaps expected sales were not met for the tricks which incorporated the wallet, which in turn lead to an inventory of excess wallets?

No. The Frenzy and WoWallet are different designs. WoWallet can do the Frenzy routine, but the Frenzy wallet is smaller and won't be able to do everything the WoWallet does.

Hi Wravyn...
like your thinking ...
if you're right, then it's a shame I can't buy the Frenzy effect without the "unnecessary?" wallet.

But if the wallet IS necessary, then it's a very versatile item.

So to answer your questions: both wallets are "ordinary" in the sense that they aren't "gaffed" - they don't do anything secret. If they were examined when empty there would be nothing hidden for anyone to discover. However, they were designed specifically for magic tricks, and are identical on both sides which isn't necessarily a universal characteristic of normal wallets. With that said, these days most people carry card holders rather than full wallets, so both wallets are a lot closer to "normal" than they were when Stephen first released them.

The Frenzy wallet is smaller and has one slot per side. The WoWallet is larger and has multiple slots per side. You can do the Frenzy routine with the WoWallet but you cannot do all of the WoWallet routines with the Frenzy wallet.

"Sorry not Sorry" is a routine of Liam's that is essentially a version of Max Maven's unpublished (and possibly mythical) "Apologetica" plot. Liam has loved this plot for over 20 years and has many ideas for it. "Sorry not Sorry" is one of those ideas and uses the WoWallet as part of the method.

The reason you have found them for sale in different places is that they have both been on the market before. Now, Kaymar owns the exclusive rights.

Hope this helps!

I just got this jpv wallet. It's same functions of the wow. There's a very smart hidden i##x. Allows the prediction to come out of the visible envelope.

Not so sure how true this is haha

"Easy to do! No difficult moves or sleight of hand!
No forces! The spectator freely shuffles, and removes any card!"

I guess this if for magicians who are not "in the know"

I have the original WOW wallet in leather and the later Sorry not Sorry version. Both are the same design and work well.. the original is a bit nicer made. I have a specific routine I use it for. For me it looks like an old style ID case and I use it to hold my Father’s army ID and picture from WW2 that end up predicting an outcome. A bit of thought should be given to what it is, as it is a bit unusual looking in terms of an actual wallet. Set in a drawer for a long time. But for this routine was the perfect solution… that’s why I never get rid of anything Smile

Well, that IS true. They have freedom to remove any card at all from the shuffled, facedown deck. After that, the method happens.

I used to do this in the sixties with a Tenyo card box. More recently I have done it with a THE and a USD.

(Should this thread be in Inner Thoughts?)
