I hadn't heard of its release on CD. I have transferred it to CD and mini disk myself. Does anyone know how the devils hank has been improved?

Is this the famous "Bandana-Banana" duet skit that I saw on "The Gong Show" 30 years ago? Or this a single-performer routine?

I have seen this effect done a number of times live. The effect never fails to entertain the audience { isn't that the point }. Twice I've seen it performed in Las Vegas at the Showgirls of Magic and the Dixie Dooley show. Ladies performed it at both venues and people seemed genually entertained by it imho. I've also seen it performed for children who love to believe the magician is in trouble.

I have been using this for years and I also have seen others muder it. Facial expressions are a key. I start it out with my latest Internet purchase and it just arrived in the mail...

Tried this for the first time last night at our 19th annual magic spectacular (two shows) and I gotta give my humble opinion that I was way happy with it as an opening. Great reactions and a strong round of applause at the end. Sure it isn't great magic but as a warm up it did its job and got the audience on my side and ready for more. I have been looking for a new opening for a while and I think that I may have finally found it.

Does anyone think it is a shame this was done on British TV?
Has that stopped any UK guys from using it in their shows? it definitely stopped me from buying it becuase I can imagine the audience saying "huh, this isn't your trick, I saw this on tv... you stole the idea" has this happened to anyone? In Magic Steve Dela |

Duckster and Imagique, I agree with you both in the fact that you should develop your own voice, style, and show. Yet just like many bands one must have a starting point. Many bands start out with covers (some done just as the original) then work up to doing their own material. Unfortunately comics do not have that luxury. I too have worked the comedy clubs in Chicago for the past decade. A comedian cannot go on and do a bit from another comedian. In all entertainment though, it is what the audience wants that dictates what is played. Unless you want to stay in very small theaters putting maybe 100 butts in the seats you must make some compromises. I still go to see "Death of a Salesman" when it comes around. It has been done to death but it is a great play. Some nights the acting takes it to new heights and others I almost want to ask for my money back. That is the nature of the entertainment business.
