For those who have this, does it have to be a beer bottle?

It should definitely be a clear bottle. He goes over some specifics on how to identify Modelo and Corona bottles that will work. That being said, it doesn't have to be a beer bottle, but you might need to experiment a bit to find one that would work

I just watched the trailer on Instagram and I get it now and it is great. Not too angling but great idea.
Just try that’s all you can do , never give up .

It is really good idea. But if you live in a country which you use Euros you can’t do that, and this is not quite clear from the creator’s answers

What are people using in the UK (both bottle and coin)? I’m having difficulties finding a good combo… thanks!

I’ve seen people using a 5p coin in a glass coke bottle quite a bit, but there are many options for combos & you will have to experiment a little with the different glass bottles available near you as well as your currency options. A US penny is approx 19mm - a Canadian one cent, Australian six pence & 5 peso gold are just a few examples of coins the same or similar size. Hope this helps! Thank you - I want everyone to get as much joy out of this system as I have.

Another note for UK and other foreign coins: in addition to the technique I talk about on the download (which you can also do on only two sides instead of full circumference…speaking in code here but if you purchased the download you will know what I’m talking about) You can also try experimenting with a dremel as an additional way to help with your currency issue. (Please PM me for details to the specifics on this!) I haven’t had to implement the dremel technique here in the US yet but I feel that it would take away from the impromptu/on the fly nature of needing no additional tools for my system. That being said, it may prove useful to those dealing with this foreign coin issue. Canadian coins are also magnetic fyi…pro tip Smile

I will be discussing this and much else in some add-on downloads on Penguin going over new variations/handlings/presentations/parlor & stage versions/tips etc that I just didn’t have the time to get into on the download. I do encourage creativity on this project as well & to make this your own - take a swing at coming up with your own visual penetrations, vanishes & reappearances in the bottle, the impossible location plot etc, or combine my utility bottle with a CIB handling you already perform to make it an impossible souvenir bottle. The possibilities are unlimited!

Hi Michael
Unfortunately the Australian 6 pence went out of circulation in 1966!
Congratulations on the release.

In the tutorial, Michael goes over a couple different approaches that can be used. At my grocery store, I found examples of both types sitting next to each other on the cooler shelf so I made up my own six-pack using 3 of each type for experimentation. I didn't know what I would find, whether they would all be of one type or another, but was pleasantly surprised that there were both - just had to dig around a little through the 6 packs on the shelf.

My wife and I were out yesterday for lunch at Denny's with a good friend of ours and I showed this to him and I asked him to pick up the slip of paper.
His jaw literally dropped! It was a great moment.

Hi Eric! Pick up what slip of paper for his jaw to drop?

This question reminds me that you can also perform this with Impression Vanish by Peter Boie: the Penny vanishes from under the slip of paper and is found magically trapped inside the bottle. Many other things can be done.

You use a piece of paper like the size of a little Post It a 2 by 2 size and you trace the penny before you vanish it. I had him pick up the slip of paper it was awesome.
