This is a really great magic effect, but has one limitation that is somewhat bothersome. Without going into detail, for those of us that are not beer drinkers or performing in a situation where there is no beer, I imagine that this would be quite difficult to perform. I cannot even show it to my wife since we do not drink beer. The instructions are specific and to perform, you need something that you may not have. I never tried it since the props are out of my zone of reality, but it still is a great magic trick and perhaps one day I wi;; find a way to perform it.

Erm… you can also do with a Coca Cola bottle… it’s shown in the tutorial… and actually you can do it with a lot of different glass bottles as explained in the tutorial, Michael just specifically covers one type of beer for the explanation…

As someone who was duped by that exact edited shot, I must say that's very not cool of penguin to do. It's simply not THAT clean in reality.

In reality, that shot was not edited. If you knew how many times I’ve had to type that! I used a method for cleanup in the trailer that is possible in real life too (if you’re a worker you’ll understand me) but that method worked great on camera. I teach many practical ways to clean up after the penetration & with a little creative chops, you guys can do what I have done - make it your own. Especially depending on the situation/environment etc. Get creative with it. I created the visual optical rise to compliment the impossible bottle method, which I created first. Then I wanted a visual to go with the system, so I created the optical rise as well as so many others I didn’t include it all on the download. Many additional ideas/routines/handlings are possible. The souvenir bottle really is a utility device. The optical rise is just one visual and the others will be coming. This was just a taste of what’s possible with this.

4.8/5 “Gold Medal Winner” from “Marcus’s Magic Reviews” on YouTube:

“I think this is the new standard for coin in bottle. It’s untouchable with what’s out there. Such a super, super strong effect. Such a super strong system. I have converted completely…Michael John’s Perfect Penny”:

Seems like people keep saying again that 1. This can only be done with beer bottles and 2. The opening shot of the trailer can’t be done live.

So I’m going to post this Instagram video again (that I did on page 3) because I think people are unfairly writing this trick off. Coca-Cola bottle and live handling of the first trailer shot here (explained in the tutorial):

https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3Vq9aXPZ......amswZw==

I was skeptical about this before purchase but I think it is a hidden gem that has several secrets, elements and handlings making it well worth the asking price.

Thank you so much, Scott. Here is a new reel from Penguin, also of the opening shot but being performed on the street live by me:

As I've said, this is a neat new approach to coin in bottle. It bugs me a bit that the magic community is sometimes only interested in being fooled. And as such creators make video featuring moments that look impossible but are not real world. What you see in this instagram is not practical outside social media. I'm not saying it wasn't performed for real people this way. You can do something very similar to this but just not exactly like this unless you're ok standing there with insanely difficult angles. Buy this for all the cool stuff here that's practical. And it's not this instagram moment.

How practical is Pretty Penny in regards to walk about / strolling restaurants, etc?
Why is it that on one side of the world a person looks at a picture of the Grand Canyon and says, "it looks so real." At the same time on the other side of the world a person looks at the Grand Canyon and says, "it looks like a picture."

There is very little prep work If you want give it away as a Souvenir you will have to have some made up and a place where you can easily access them.
But I have to tell you. I highly recommend this.
It really gets great reactions.

Good magic to all,

If you use mini bottles like the “Coronita” brand etc, you can easily carry these smaller bottles in your pockets/on your person…the penny will also look bigger in these mini bottles which is pretty cool…pun intended?

You can keep repeating the effects over and over until you are ready to give the bottle away as a souvenir for method #2. I’ve encountered many instances where I borrowed bottles from my specs in walkaround/street environments where there are beer bottles or the like being drank and I’ll notice what I teach on the download & so I’ll use method #1…though method #2 can be set up quickly…you’d be surprised to hear where and under what conditions I’ve set this up. I know this will sound very “Berglas-esque” - but you can even have a confederate do it for you, which would also open up some doors for possibilities.

Thank you Eric! I also teach on the download how there are instances where you can make up the impossible souvenir bottle on the spot as well, but without having to use the #2 method that calls for a little more privacy.

Just try that’s all you can do , never give up .

God I'm so sorry for making that post. It's not edited! I was wrong! It's just a version of the trick that happens to work well for the camera!

Poor Travis... but hey, you owned up and you're not responsible for other people not bothering to read carefully, man. That's totally up to them. There is more than enough correct info on this thread.
Please check regularly if you are becoming the type of magician Jerry Seinfeld jokes about. (This applies to mentalists as well.)
