Luckily there are effects (created years ago), still standing the tests of time that require very little setup and even no gimmicks whatsoever where you end completely 100% clean. And, can be performed surrounded.

Well I guess I did forget to preface that with an idea that I had come up with earlier. Which is both hysterically funny to me as well as a little embarrassing. So sorry about the confusion this may have caused anyone! LOL! Well at least my mind is still working. But now I have to work on my communication skills.

Good magic to all,

OK, Nick V (Verna - factory sealed creator for the layman) This doesn’t sound like you’ve purchased my effect or know anything about it, for that matter. I have responded jb13 and cleared this all up, yet you post this today.

Instead, you are coming on the thread for my coin in bottle Pretty Penny to refer to & plug/sell your effect Factory Sealed from 2008, which is currently $2 on ellusionist.

Alex Ward came out with the same principle (plus more/different handlings) called Sealed In, produced in 2007 with Alakazam Magic. A year or so later factory sealed was released. Alex screamed at the top of his lungs on this very website that the principle in factory sealed was stolen from him outright without credit. Factory sealed was only something that was talked about in forums like this one until his Sealed In was released, but it wasn’t seen until well after his effect was released to the community. I did a lot of research & I believe him. I showed the visual Alex teaches in Sealed In (I have it) in my download to show how many different visual penetrations are possible with my utility bottle. You can use CIB’s you currently do with this but now they’re an impossible souvenir bottle. Or combine handlings, etc. Make it your own!

My Pretty Penny Principle is a modern day classic & not comparable to any other coin in bottle out there. My creation is an impossible souvenir GLASS bottle - a complete substitute for the folding coin. A first in magic. I teach methods in the download where there is no setup. The optical rise you are responding to here is only just ONE of the unlimited effects/visuals you can accomplish with my system/utility bottle. It is not just a one trick pony where my optical rise is the only effect (even though this the most VISUAL coin in bottle penetration handling to date). I created my methods for the impossible souvenir glass bottles BEFORE I created the optical rise penetration. So, even though many are acting like that penetration is all this is - it’s simply not all of the goods of what you are getting here. You are getting so much more - a SYSTEM with options and the opportunity for you to be creative with it. You can end 100% clean with Pretty Penny depending on the variation/handling, it can be performed surrounded, there are no gimmicks and it’s an impossible souvenir GLASS bottle using ordinary bottles and coins, using no special tools or gimmicks and you can set it up on the fly using borrowed bottles.

I am a grown ass 35 year old man with a wife and kids trying to provide for my family with a creation I obsessed over for the past 3 years. I put my entire heart and soul and EVERYTHING I have into this project as my first magic creation. I took Nate Staniforth’s Course on creating, I learned from PH, I learned from Blaine. I worked my ass off for over 3 years on this and the decision to release this with a retailer instead of keeping it in the books was NOT an easy one for me to make. To see you comment and try to plug your old coin in plastic bottle is a poor move. For everyone saying we didn’t credit: all the due crediting is there when you purchase it. Despite the fact that E didn’t credit properly for factory sealed (they even used the core method for Abyss by the Enchantment at one point in the video & didn’t credit that!).

For you to come on here to try to deter people from my hard work and something I’m so incredibly proud of, is unconscionable to me. What I’ve had to sacrifice, what I’ve had to go through in my personal life while creating this piece and then producing it etc - you don’t know peoples lives and what they go through & struggle with. Please stop trying to compare my effect with yours. I see you in the YouTube comments, I see you here. I love those CIB’s that came out in 2007/2008. The “OG” stuff. I was 18 then. I performed them as well and loved them but I never came on your threads and tried to get people to buy something else. I supported you and everyone else by purchasing. I can see that support is clearly not reciprocated here. Noted.

Such a great thing. Myself and my team at penguin discussed routining this with Impression Vanish, it’s so good. You can even melt the penny after having the date memorized, initialed, scratched etc and it is found in the bottle impossibly and marking.initials verified on trapped coin..or can do a phantom pick for an “angle z” moment…this framing works great for parlor/stage.

That was an interesting background story.

Factory Sealed from 2008,

Those comments was to get the HISTORY straight which is public knowledge backed up with legal documents and public posts.
The fact that you continue to post incorrect dates mystifies me.

It actually was before 2008 (filmed in 2006)
Well before anything you mentioned.

Exactly, And for those who have difficulty with pre-show work, gimmicks, and clean up, There are many routes to take.
Many great effects out there.

Well I think what Michael has created is definitely « absorbable ». Still need to find the right combo in the UK but in the US that definitely kills…

Nick & I spoke privately and are new friends, all is well. Have you tried a 5p coin and a coke bottle? The coke bottles will vary in size and shape so you will have to probably try a few out. I’m sorry I’m not familiar with foreign coins as much as I should be but I’m doing my best in the US to help however I can.

I will be discussing this and much else in some add-on downloads on Penguin going over new variations/handlings/presentations/parlor & stage versions/tips etc that I just didn’t have the time to get into on the download. I do encourage creativity on this project as well & to make this your own - take a swing at coming up with your own visual penetrations, vanishes & reappearances in the bottle, the impossible location plot etc, or combine my utility bottle with a CIB handling you already perform to make it an impossible souvenir bottle. The possibilities are unlimited!

If I purchase this now will the add-on downloads on Penguin be added to my account when they are available?

stay tuned for additional variations/handlings, tips/subtleties etc that I’ll be adding to the download which I didn’t have the time to get into. These videos will allow you to perform different effects with my system/utility bottle…ways perform it in a parlor/stage setting (a destroyed penny to impossible location framing), using a confederate, optical rise variation with the bottle resting on its side, a label impression penetration, twilight penny, as well as many other visual penetration, vanish & reappearance, etc options.

looking forward to these add-on downloads.

It is really good idea. But if you live in a country which you use Euros you can’t do that, and this is not quite clear from the creator’s answers

Hi Vogler, my currency is also Euro and I fancy buying this Michael's CIB method. The idea of handing out this impossible object is very tempting. At the same time I feel insecure if the method will also work in Germany. Michael suggested checking for the right coin sizes and around 19 mm seems to be appropriate. This would then be equivalent to a 2 Cent EUR. Did you try that? What was your experience?

What are people using in the UK (both bottle and coin)? I’m having difficulties finding a good combo… thanks!

I’ve seen people using a 5p coin in a glass coke bottle quite a bit, but there are many options for combos & you will have to experiment a little with the different glass bottles available near you as well as your currency options. A US penny is approx 19mm - a Canadian one cent, Australian six pence & 5 peso gold are just a few examples of coins the same or similar size. Hope this helps! Hey Michael,
if it is ok for you, I'd like to share the following experience from Germany. Today I have tried a 2 € Cent piece (is approximately the size of a US Penny) with a Corona Bottle. Unfortunately without success. Will keep trying with other bottles. Happy to hear recommendations from magicians in Germany.

Yes thank you! I found one (out of 4) that worked! Trying to understand if there is a sign like on the Corona bottles now. Thank you!
