Not cool. I’d imagine most early purchases of this effect would be based heavily upon THAT edit.

It’s true that the trick was edited in that first moment of the video but I believe they are impressing upon the buyer the feeling audiences will have when they see this. It’s a truly clever method and one I will definitely use.

Wait… so…. the very first effect doesn’t actually look like that? It’s really the only one I’m interested in… as someone else said, I feel I’ve already seen a version of the other ones so not sure how I feel about the first video being edited…

I would love to hear from people who already purchase this if they feel it's worth purchasing or if there's a lot of set up etc. I think that would help out a lot of people on here. I'm really on the fence about this one.

Good magic to all,

I think the first effect can look like that however the angles are a little narrow side to side and top to bottom so limited to a small audience. I am not sure there is a big edit there, I own the product. I think this is clever, I think it was worth purchasing, I did not know this method, it is only $20 dollars, whow disapponted could you be.

The penetration looks just like it does in the video. This will take some practice but it isn’t particularly difficult. No regrets. And, as stated, it’s only $20.

Purchased. It does not and cannot look as good as the first video in the promo. That would be real magic. It’s a non gimmicked penny and a non gimmicked bottle. It doesn’t really penetrate glass, so using that knowledge, and what has to happen, you can probably guess where the edit is, and yes there is an edit. That said, it could absolutely feel that good to a spectator and overall is pretty cool. I was using Justin Miller’s Shattered, which is my favorite coin bottle penetration, but I’m excited to take this one out for a spin. The melt moment makes this one the most visual coin in bottle so far.

Reminds me of first time I learned Sinful. I didn’t think it would work but it did. Some really cool nuances with this. He teaches several variations so you have something for every situation. Some of them will make you smile. I agree that this is well worth the asking price if you like what you see in the trailer.

It seems pretty obvious it cannot happen per the video since he then shows a later effect but needs a handkerchief to cover the penny -- not a criticism just pointing out that if you could do the first then there would be no need for cover. FWIW of all of these effects my favorite is Prohibition -- the effect is not only cool but really fun to practice -- it turns out to be easier then I thought but makes me feel skilled.

Hi Travis!

Thank you for your support!!

There is actually no cut or edit to that white background shot - that actually happened! There are methods for doing it to camera but that same method is done live to your spectators, just with a slightly different handling to that same method. To your audience it’s nearly identical. Most of the reactions you see in the trailer are from this optical rise visual penetration in person. It really looks that good in person when you shake the bottle! Hope this clears that up. Again - no edit. Something just happened live for camera that you can get away with for a live audience that just involves another equally deceptive method

Hi Bande!

Thank you for your thoughts.

No - you can absolutely do the first visual in person! It actually looks better in person. The other full performances just show other ways to present it (unlimited!). Many of the reaction shots you see in the trailer are from that exact opening shot performed live, with just a slightly different handling for the same method. It was just hard to get that visual caught on camera of the optical rise and their reactions caught on camera at the same time for the full performances without a pick up shot of the optical rise after the fact.

Thank you LeoTheJet for your input!

But that wasn’t an edit! It’s just another handling of the optical rise basic method for camera (it’s the same in the opening shot except for one moment that’s just handled differently live) versus live for a spectator, which as you say - will feel also look that good to them!

Whoa, in that case I apologize for saying it was an edit!

Upon rewatching I can see how — with a lot of care towards angles — that could be possible. It threw me off because it's not the live handling you teach in the video, but on a second watch I can see how this could in theory be a to camera handling.

Crazy. Looks so good.

It was not an edit Smile Just a different handling for camera but is still the same basic method I teach which can absolutely be performed live and your specs will see essentially the same visual. You can see their reactions to the optical rise in person in the trailer. Almost looks better in person I think.
