I call this the slap shuffle. Check out the video at the link below. You might have to cut and paste it. Tell me what you think.

Just looks like a standard false Hindu/overhand shuffle. I never knew there was such a need to slap the cards together so hard.

Kinda like "up the ladder" cuts on the table. Actually, with "up the ladder" you can keep the FULL DECK in order.

Well, the top card is acctually being burried. I do stack the pile from the bottom onto the top.

Biro-san, your mentioning of 'Up the Ladder' inspired me, and I got the 'Up the Ladder in Hands a la Hindu Shuffle'. I guess I can use it.
This is better than the standard Up the Ladder as this seems more real, and Japanese people are more familiar with Hindu Shuffle. Thanks for the inspiration. Hideo Kato |

GBHunter,
Yes, this is something that has been done before. To add to it, I have seen it done with it ending with a cut to the table and squaring up. Best, Trini Montes

Cool. Thanks, I was just checking. The funny thing is that the reason I was doing my shuffling this way is because I learned the Hindu shuffle wrong from a book and ended up with that. LOL
