Long term lurker, recent member.

I have always loved magic and like to see it performed well. I even hired a magician at the party for our 25th wedding anniversary.

I am late to “studying” magic and would describe myself as keen hobbyist. No intentions of performing in public - just for friends and family.

Card Magic is my interest. I own a number of books my favourites being the one that got me started again - Royal Road to Card Magic. Though I recently discovered Tamariz and have been reading Sonata and Mnemonica.

My immediate goal is a perfect Faro. Longer term - to not just “know” tricks but be able to perform a few - even if its just for friends.

Lofty goals..perfect faro, nd reading Mnemonica! You go for it!

Followed his recommendations and I now know the order. Been practising the simple effects and demoed for a friend, he said it must be a marked deck!

The Faro needs a lot of work. I can do the shuffle but its far from perfect or consistent.
