Does anyone know the name under which the comedian, Orsen Bean, wrote a magic book? Something like Daryl Burrows, I seem to recall, but I'm unsure.

He was a friend of Jay Marshall.
He did a comedy routine about birds E.g.; "This is the 'OOOOOH bird, the OOOOOOH bird is a small (2 Oz. bird) which lays a 10 oz. egg. It is readily recognized by its red face and cries of 'OOOOOOOH...OOOOOOOH! Orson had a whole routine funny birds. Oh yeah...Another bird in the routine was the "extremely rare one winged "Ptou". Easily recognized by its circular flight! He also did a very funny routine with the old newspaper roll up. The "Fir Tree". I think that I saw him on the Ed Sullivan Show in the early '50s.

The June 1952 issue of _Hugard's Magic Monthly" notes that:
-----quote----- Danton Walker carried an item about him saying "Bean got word the other day from Chicago novelty firm that they are manufacturing a box of 12 tricks he designed two years ago." -----unquote----- Have any magic set collectors heard of that box of 12 tricks? I wonder what tricks were included in it. ----- Sonny
