I am in the process of start to explore some options in lighting. While I do not plan to have a full set up as I would expect any venue I am in to have some basic stage lighting as is, I would not mind adding to the mix. This would need to be something portable. This would could add to the show atmosphere big time. Not sure if I would need spot light type of stuff but fill the stage and make it easy to video for sure comes to mind. The shows are only mentalism and stage hypnosis.

Bonus question: What are people using for putting up video in the show in real time. Like having a screen and camera set up.

I have 2 of these as well as too much different dmx controlled light (ledpars as well as moving heads)
I find these two theatre spots perfect to uplight my stage in a small venue even kid's partys where I don't want to rig a whole lot of fixtures.
Just a stand, a power outlet and go. Perfect.
They have a pot dial for dimming and going from warm white to cold white.
I can't ask for nothing more at that price range.

To be perfectly honest, there is one flaw ,in the spot I suggested and use myself,
the hinge that makes it possible to use it as a floor stand gets in the way when you rig to a bar.
Easy fix for my was placing a small piece of box shaped material in between the bar and the bracket.
Idiot me designed a 3d printed plate with the curve of the baron top and flat on the bottom to make it look more slick.
A simple small piece of wood would work as good.

Unfortunately, asking for lighting fixtures with so little detailed need is like saying, “I want something to get me across town but don’t want to walk. What’s the best thing?” I have lit my shows for around 50 years as well as other large shows including one currently playing in a large showroom in Vegas. There are variables I could spend weeks going over. Basically there isn’t one universal answer. It depends on so many things including length of throw,, color saturation, How much coverage do you need, does it work as an “effect” light and if so, does it have the luminosity to cut through the existing fixtures? Many years ago, I just nee some additional illumination when working on a platform in smaller rooms so I had 2 Light trees with 2 Wide angled PAR cans on each one cross lit with Flesh Pink and Special Lavender (Just enough color to make people look good). No dimmers, just lights for increased visibility in a simple room. Sometimes I’ll just carry a small follow spot to be operated from the bck of the room to give me a little more of an accent to seperate me from the background but again… that depends on the length of the throw. In one Vegas club I used a small club spot as the throw was only about 20 feet. The more recent showroom I needed to go with a Robert Juliat Spot which are upwards of around $15,000 but have the strength at 120 feet to give me the punch I needed. If you can define a few more elements it would be easier to give you some practical options.
