I hope this is not a silly question, but I am new to card magic. I have a Svengali deck of cards that performs to the Eight of Diamonds (hope I did not give any secrets away). Are all of the Svengali the same, or are there different cards of Svengali?
Thanks. |

Different decks will have different force cards.

Lose that Svengali and get yourself a Mirage deck. It is the same idea and performs exactly the same as the Svengali, but with the Mirage deck you can safely fan the cards, spread from hand to hand, and even do a table spread and the secret will not be revealed. I got both but the latter makes me feel more confident since I can freely spread them and show them different.
What do you mean it came from the bottom of the deck?

The mirage deck is garbage. You can do all the spreads, fans and other things with a regular Svengali deck that you can with a mirage deck and not have to worry about cards sometimes sticking together and sometimes not.

Cardtricks,
I don't think it's possible to do the spreads and fans with a regular Svengali deck unless you coat the cards with roughin fluid to make them stick. That is why they modified it to the Mirage.
What do you mean it came from the bottom of the deck?

It IS possible. No roughing fluid required. What is more you can do far MORE moves with a regular Svengali deck than you can do with those awful sticky and horrible mirage decks.

Hmm, I was originally talked out of the Svengali to a mirage. I guess I should get a Svengali and see the difference for myself...

No good Angus. You will find no instructions anywhere on how to manipulate the Svengali deck in the way that I have described.
Yet if you can get hold of a little out of print book published in 1939 called Svengali subtleties you will see that all these moves are fully described. |

If possible, geta Svengali with a picture card.... looks better.... tht's my opinion....
there's also the double Svengali.... that can show double of what the regular Svengali can... by riffling the side and short end... eric
